I'm actually debating whether or not to buy KBV1 tomorrow, or just rent it, since there's bound to be a nice SE boxed set or something in the near future. My choice'll probably come down to the wire.

^ I was having the same dilemma a while ago. But here's the thing. Even when a super-duper box set comes out, it's still gonna have the exact same movies (Tarantine doesn't re-edit his movies), just a lot more extras. And to be honest, I don't give a rip about extras. Except for a couple of special movies (LOTR). So yeah, I decided to just get the movie now. :)

*bump*

What? I didn't do anything.

I just came back from my first exam. I think I did okay on it (here's hoping anyways ;)). And I just got my next DVD from Zip: X2: X-Men United. :D

I just read a report on CHUD that he released a more violent version of the movie in Japan and that he was considering some DVD rereleases later which may include the longer version and/or putting the two versions into one. So, I might have to wait too ;)

Well, I succumbed to the temptation and picked up KBV1 a little while ago. Even if QT does release a super-duper set later on, I don't mind. I myself got the first releases of both LOTR movies and later sprang for the EEs, so I'll likely do the same in this case. Anyway, I need SOMETHING to watch tonight since Dubya has nixed my 24 hopes!

What?? It's coming on Sunday @ 9pm instead. I gotta wait almost another WEEK to see it!!! Man, Dubya would probably have better public opinion if he didn't cut into prime time!!

That war & other stuff probably plays a part too :p

I got Kill Bill vol 1. :D And I got Stargate S4 in the mail, so now I'm gonna go watch 4x01 and then a couple of friends are gonna come over. First we're gonna watch Kill Bill vol 1, then have something to eat and after that it's Canucks vs Flames. :D Man this is gonna be a fun day, hehe. :D

Well, I didn't buy Kill Bill, but Babylon 5 - season 5 is sitting next to me on the desk, even as we speak! :D

So now I have my two favorite shows on DVD! Woohoo!

I got done watching KB a while ago, and I have the strangest feeling that I'll probably pop it in the DVD player again before the day is through. Don't know why...

I got my copy of Kill Bill today. It was a really bizarre experience because all three people infront of me in the check out line were buying it as well . It must be selling like crazy. I can't wait till Friday.

Same thing happened to me in Best Buy when I got mine. I had a similar experience last week when I picked up Matrix Revolutions. Seemed like everyone in line was buying the thing!

They're going to package it all in one set, and that's exactly why this Tarantino Fanboy isn't buying the first volume.

You just had to come in and break up all this Kill Bill love huh? :p Well, enjoy B5!

Hmmm...this is weird, in the last two days or so, it has happened twice that when I posted in a thread, my post didn't show up.... weird stuff.

Anyway, what I posted was that we watched Kill Bill vol 1 yesterday and I was sweet. I've seen it before, but on a small screen in stereo. Now I saw it on a big screen in DTS, and wow! I loved it even more then the first time. What a sweet movie. :D

I just rewatched "Chapter 3," the anime sequence. Man, that's a cool sequence, although a little hard to watch at times (or to listen to, those gooshy sound effects disturb the hell out of me ), especially when Matsumoto clenches his teeth so hard they explode out of his mouth! Now that's something I'd never seen in a movie before, animated or not.

I enjoy anime, unless it's pop crap like Dragonball Z or any other time a character gets wide-eyed and crazy looking  That sequence from Kill Bill was surprising but enjoyable. It could probably be done with more shock than if it had been a live-acted sequence. I doubt putting a real little girl in that situation would help Tarrantino's image or the movie's rating.

One day left to KB 2

^My college roommate during my sophomore year (he was before he dropped out, anyway) was a die-hard Dragonball Z fan and had his TV tuned to Cartoon Network whenever it was on. I found the show mildly amusing, mainly at how most of the episode seems to consist of two guys staring angrily at each other. Do the Japanese love Sergio Leone or something? :D

^You mean The Good, The Bad & The Ugly? There sure are lots of Clint spot-on matches! It's like that's the only western they saw. Or the best

^Yeah. I think For a Few Dollars More and Once Upon a Time in the West had long drawn-out preludes to slaughter as well. Don't get me wrong, I like those films a great deal, but on Dragonball such staring contests seemed to be comical instead of working to create tension.
