^ Yep. Sure have! A couple of weeks ago, in fact. I thought that I posted about it....

However, I have some kinda cool news for you guys!

This week, I got asked by one of the coolest Sims sites on the 'net if I wouldn't mind making some of my houses available for download through their site! :)

They want two of my houses so far, and more later.

I'm kinda excited, cus it is a real honor to be recognized like that. It's pretty easy to build a house...but it's pretty hard to build one that is good enough to be recognized. So I'm quite pleased. :)

^ Congrats Vash! That's really cool! :)

What have I been up to? Besides being very busy with school, having to do like...four to five programs a week. Besides that, I've been enjoying my Stargate DVDs. I've already watched up to 4x14 and I'm still loving it. :D
I also rented Equilibrium a couple of days ago and my g/f liked it (I've seen it before and I love it). Anyway...I think that's about it. The only think on DVD that I was considering getting this week was Master & Commander, but I decided against it. I've never seen it, so I don't know if it's any good or not. I did put it on my want list though.
I will most likely get The Last Samurai on DVD (may 4th), which I liked quite a lot. I thought the ending was way too hollywood-ish, but I really liked the rest of the movie.
And then there's the Buffy S6 DVD set on may 25th, but I'm getting ahead of myself. :)
Anyway...I think I'm gonna go back to my DS9 avatar soon, at least for a while. After that I might put my Firefly avatar back up. :)

^ I didn't know about The Last Samurai coming out soon on DVD! Thanks for letting me know. I've not seen it, but I've heard enough about it to think it would be a film I'd enjoy. I think I'll buy it! :)

No problem. :) It's not an awesome movie, but I still liked it quite a lot. And Ken Watanabe does just such a wonderful job. :)

My week will be fine after I write my last exam in uh... 10 minutes! :D
Good luck buddy! :)

^ Yep, Last Samurai is a very good movie. :)

Yeah, after tomorrow I think I'm going back to regular Hairline Miles, and maybe put up my Van Helsing av the last day of April. Don't know for sure yet if I'll actually see that movie (I kinda liked the Mummy movies, but the previews are really giving me flashbacks to LXG, which was barely watchable).

^ Yeah, I think I'm gonna make myself a Van Helsing avatar aswell, probably something with Kate Beckinsale in it. :) I'm not gonna put it up until may 2nd or so though.

Uh oh, we've got frisky customers. One ale for tomalak301. Good help is so hard to find!! Well, time for me to don the Klingon Chef hat (av) again!

ORDER UP!! :D

Very cool, very cool! I didn't know we had such an artiste in our midst till I saw those samples you posted a while back. If I ever get into the Sims ;) I'll know who to turn to for designs!

As for me, it's been busy these past few weekends. I was helping serve on a retreat for teenagers at a detention center this past weekend. It's amazing how innocent folks can look; I find it hard to believe any of them did anything criminal. But, there they are. I hope our message of God's love resonates with them. My role was to keep them singing all weekend. And so we did! And I'm not even hoarse today ;) Well, it was a good weekend. Tiring, but good

Anyway, I hate that I missed Last Samurai in the theatres. Too many things going on when it was out. I'll have to catch the DVD myself soon. With Ken Watanabe supposedly being the next Batman villain (Ra's Al Ghul), I'm interested to see how he acts.

^ Like I said, Ken Watanabe was great in The Last Samurai. He sooooooo stole the movie. :D

I've been having fun with my Stargate DVDs, I've already watched up to Wormhole X-Treme. While it was funny, I don't get all the ravings about the ep. IMO Stargate has done quite a few eps that were funnier. It was still a good ep though. :)

Anyway...I bought Master & Commander yesterday, I just decided that I really wanted to see it. And I got it for a decent price. Anyway...we plan to watch it tonight, so after I've seen it I'll probably post my thoughts about it in here.

I've been sick for the last couple of days (nothing major, just a sore throat), so I didn't go to school yesterday and I'm not going today either. I haven't missed much, only a couple of labs which I've already done and a couple of lectures which I can get the notes for. So hey, that gives me plenty of time to watch my Stargate DVDs lol. There is a downside to this though, I'll be done with the show way faster then I hoped I would be. :) I've watched the first 4 and a half seasons in about 2 months, so I'm probably gonna be done with S7 by the middle of june. Though I'm gonna be very busy in june (finals and all) so I might actually stretch it out till the end of june. After that I plan to do a lot of reading in the summer, and I might watch all of DS9 again. I'll be going home for about 10 weeks in the summer, so I'll have plenty of time to read and watch DVDs. Either way, I'm gonna stop rambling now, gotta check out the other thread on the board. :D

Grrr... I so wanted to watch Kill Bill V1 again on the campus channel today, but I can't because one of our toilets managed to flood while we were out and it'll take forever to dry the main room. And my roommate who owns the TV is leaving for the summer tomorrow, so I won't be able to watch anything after tonight. :(

Hope your sore throat gets better, BigFoot! :)

Hang in there BigFoot!

I just noticed there will be a 3-volume Batman:TAS DVD set to start hitting on July 6. Oh man, just when I thought I was gonna save some money this year... :p This might have to be my 3rd TV series on DVD!

Hope your throat feels better, BigFoot! I've had a sore throat too, the past few days. But I've been trying to tough it out...at least during the week.

kev...we have just *got* to talk. And after your experience last weekend, we have even more to talk about.

Must make a plan!!!! :p

Well, we watched Master and Commander. I thought it was a pretty good flick, nothing special though. It was fun and all...but yeah, nothing special. The sound was amazing though, I now see (or hear, lol) why it won an oscar for sound (was it mixing or editing? either way). :)

^ Well, jeez....since I'm not particularly a Russell Crowe fan either, now I don't know what to do.

Definitely won't buy it...but I'm still thinking I might rent it.....

I really though Ken Wantanabe ('scuse my spelling if its wrong) was robbed of the "Supporting Actor" Oscar this year. Of course, Hollywood loves liberal activists, so it's no wonder Robbins and Penn got the statues. I would have loved to see Bill Murry come home with the Best Actor award. Lost in Translation's a great film.

I agree, Ken was quite good. Having ROTK win the slew of Oscars this year was great and all, but I wish that the acting categories had at least ONE upset (a la Adrien Brody) this year. It would have made things more interesting. Robbins WAS pretty good in Mystic River, but I didn't care all that much for Penn's performance. I was rooting for Murray as well, him or Depp.

Honestly, I AM a Russell Crowe fan, but Master & Commander didn't move me. I felt like Pirates of the Caribbean was better. Maybe M&C dragged too much for me. Maybe it needed the charisma of Johnny Depp as Jack Sparro  Something, I dunno.

OK Vash, we may have to plan that weekend in Atlanta after all. Ready the B5 DVDs :D
