That would be the incredibly sweet Jewel Staite (Kaylee). :)
For some reason, she looked like her, but then, she didn't...

Hmm...

Well, I just got back from seeing Shaun of the Dead, and goddamn, I haven't laughed that hard during a movie in a long time!
I'm still undecided about going to see it. Thanks for the review, I may have to give it a chance.

Well it's my g/f's b-day today (and three years since I registered with the trekBBS). :) We went bowling with a couple of friends yesterday....I WON! :D It was fun, lol. I've bowled like 5 times so far in my life and I got 106. What else...we had cake after that, which was yummy. And after my g/f got some presents from her friends. She was psyched about getting Ella Enchanted, which we watched afterwards. Based on some clips that I've seen I thought it was gonna suck big time, but it was actually a fun movie.
Anyway....my g/f got a ton of other prezzies today, including 50 First Dates (from me) and Lion King SE (from her folks). Well, we plan to go see Hero later today. We both want to see it, so hopefully it'll be good. :)
I might go check if they got ST Generations at the local FutureShop, cos I've been dieing to see it again. I might also get Kill Bill 2. :D

So Steven, can you tell me anything interesting about Jeffery Sinclair yet?
Umm... he's got a scar on his face now...

That's about it. I stopped watching after "War Without End, Part 1" a week or more ago. :o

Holy freaking crap...

Christ, end the show right now... it can't get any better than "War Without End, Part 2", can it? :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

^ Oh yes it can. :D :D

Anyway, the rest of my day was fun. :) While I didn't find Generations, I did get Kill Bill vol 2. Hero was fun...some of the fights were really amazing. Once we got home, we also watched Lion King. Man that's one good looking cartoon, especially considering it's 10 years old. :)

BigFoot, glad your gf had a great birthday!

And happy anniversary! 3 years on Trek BBS huh? Guess you registered only 6 weeks after me!

It's nice that some folks are still around from those days. It was a different board, back then....

But anyway....hope to see you around for a long time more!

First, it's VERY good to see you, The Evil Dead! We've missed you around here!

And Steven...glad you finally saw WWE 2!!! NOW you see why we didn't want to tell you anything about the episode when you were confused about Babylon Squared?????? ;)

Thanks Vash. :) Yeah, it definately was a different board back time. And as long as one of the mods doesn't kick me out, I think I might be around for another three years. :D

Holy crap, that was an excellent episode. :D

Answered a lot of questions, like the whole B4 thing, Londo's future (and Vir's ;) :p), and the Minbari...

Okay, when I first watched "Babylon Squared", I assumed that B4 was being sent into the future to help out with the coming war. Of course, I was kinda wondering why they would need two Babylon stations so close to each other, but dismissed that thought. Of course, then comes Delenn explaining that it was actually send to the past to the previous war.

Now onto the questions (which I know won't be answered :p).
-Future Londo, he was infected with a parasite or something that was controlling his actions, right? And it looks like he had to take his last opportunity for redemption. And an interesting take on his vision of his death, with G'Kar's hands around his throat. And what's with Vir? Just because he picked up the Emperor's badge or whatever makes him the Emperor?

-What did Delenn see in her time flash (the before mentioned son?)?

-It seems like everything that happened in the episode happened for an explicit reason. The major thing I noticed was that the station jumping forward in order to off-load the B4 crew. Thing is, later on they said the Minbari wouldn't have accepted the station with a human on it. But there was no mention of what they were planning to do with the B4 crew before the accident/time-jump.

-Where did Sinclair manage to get two Vorlons for his little welcome speech to the Minbari? (And he looks sorta cool as a Minbari. ;))

:D

As usual they're really good questions/observations. You'll have to keep watching to learn more. :p

^ Just keep watching the show. :) Most of your questions will be answered eventually, and you really don't want to be spoiled. As for the how Sinclair got the two Mimbari, I've got no clue. I'm sure people have a couple of logical explanations ready though.

Anyway...I participated in a chat at startrek.com today. The theme was the "Tales of the Dominion War" anthology. Present at the chat were Keith R.A. DeCandido (editor of the book, he also wrote one of the twelve stories), David Mack and Howard Weinstein (who each wrote one story) and it was a fun little discussion. I managed to get three or four of my questions posted and I won a signed copy of the book. :D Sweet stuff, hehe.

Anyway, hopefully my g/f will come home from work with Generations today. I heard they're supposed to be out today (again). :) If she gets it, I definately know what we'll be watching tonight.

Oh yeah, speaking of watching stuff. Has anyone checked out the first ep of a new show on UPN called Veronica Mars? I watched the pilot last week and I really liked it. It's basically about a highschool kid (Veronica) who helps out her dad who's a private dick. Well, Kristen Bell who plays Veronica is a real find. She was great in the pilot and I think she should have a bright future in the business. I'm really looking forward to tonight's ep. :)

^i think everyone in that chat must have been from this board! :D

RulanAllwine had about 6 questions.

Although by my count they should still have a signed copy left... Now to locate and steal it...

Can't believe I forgot about it :(

Y'know, I seem to be giving a lot of shows a chance to get my attention this season. I don't know why; maybe it's cause so many that I've enjoyed are gone that I've gotta see if there's anything worthwhile or is this more trash being shoveled on us.

I guess I said all that to say yes, I saw Veronica Mars ;) I thought it was pretty good too. Some of your more common teenage angst, namely what I guess was the Freaks & Geeks variety (the in-crowd vs the outcasts). But then you get to add a lil teenage Law & Order and some drama (girl's trying to figure out where her mother is and why her father did what he did that's got the whole town against him), and it makes for an interesting show. Unfortunately, TV Guide has already called it one of the less successful new shows, so I wonder how soon before it's death knell will be sounded. I think it's too soon to cancel. The show has a neat "cult classic" feel. I hope they get the chance to prove themselves.

Watched to the end of season 3 today.

Answered my question about where telepaths came from (assuming Mordon and co. can be trusted on that part). Wow. Not sure what else needs to be said... he ain't gone, is he? :(

[edit]
The last scene of "And the Rock Cried Out..." was pretty funny in a way, with Refa trying to escape while the scene being overlayed with the gospel song.

Is Na'Toth still alive? The episode doesn't really make that clear by the end.

Just an observation, but Delenn was sort of acting like a little schoolgirl when around Sheridan in the last few eps.

Next up: Re-watching of season 3, in preparation for (eventually) getting season 4. ;)

^ When do you plan to get S4? :) IMO it's even better then S3, hehe.

Hey kev, did you see the second ep of Veronica Mars? I thought it was a good ep. Not as a good as the pilot, but still a lot of fun.

Oh yeah, my g/f found Generations yesterday so we watched it last night. Man Enterprise B looking amazing. I love the excelsior class sooooo much. IMO it's just one of the best looking ships ever. And seeing John Harriman and Demora Sulu after reading "Serpents Among the Ruins" (a book about Ent B) by David R. George III was just amazing. It puts things into a totally different perspective. Anyway...I thought the chemistry between Kirk, Scotty and Chekov at the beginning of the movie kicked ass. They were just so much fun.

Anyway...it's actually been a while since I've seen the movie, and while it's definately not perfect it's still a very enjoyable movie. There are some parts that I didn't like (the whole x-mas at Picard's just didn't work for me), but otherwise it was a very enjoyable experience. The video transfer was pretty decent. Some bits were really good, some bits not so much. And there were a couple of scenes (Ent D going to warp) where it was obvious they used footage from the TV show.

Oh yeah, I started classes this week. I think four out of the five classes I'm taking are gonna be fun. We're doing a lot of very useful and interesting stuff. The other class is gonna be a real snooze-fast though.

It does have that effect, doesn't it? And you keep asking good questions and making good observations. Stop it, willya? You're making the *** I must not spoil *** thing very hard work. :p

The telepath revelation is...interesting, isn't it?

Hey just an informal announcement letting you all know… that the worm has turned for me. I have DTV so earlier today I was up at FUEL channel 612 where I usually enjoy watching surfing. Well it wasn’t on but lo and behold I now get the Golf channel for free….and I’m really happy about it.

It was always a premium channel for me and it seemed to me the only way I could get it was to pay another 12$ for a bunch of crap I would never watch so I never bothered.

I just love the GOLF channel…..even the commercials are cool….they don’t shout at you like some wrestling show…..life is good.

Quite, assuming the source can be believed.

BigFoot, maybe this weekend. My parents might be coming in and I'll take the opportunity for a trip to Future Shop or something. ;) Though, I'm still going to watch season 3 all over again to refresh this ailing memory of mine. :p

Well one of the coolest things ever happened to me. :D Keith R.A. DeCandido, named a character in his latest book "A Time for War, A Time for Peace" after me. :D How cool is that?
I didn't even know about it, until Steven told me about it. I am just so giddy right now, hehe. I actually didn't plan to read the A Time To series right away, cos I'm kinda busy with school. Well, change of plans. :) I Definately plan to get all of them soon and also read them ASAP.

:D :D :D
