Well, I didn't have much to do this week, so I had a massive marathon. If I wasn't eating, sleeping, or playing with my cousins, I was watching TNG.
Anyway, here goes:
The Survivors - Interesting episode, but I did NOT like the parts with Troi and the music. (Though I have to admit... I liked the part where Data examined the box. The expression on his face was really cute!) Riker and the trap was pretty funny too. And the part where Kevin said he destroyed all the Husnock reminded me of Star Wars episode 3, when Anakin said he killed all the people in that village where his mother was held.
Who Watches the Watchers? - A nice look at exactly WHY the prime directive exists. Also, they use recurve bows, just like the ones we use in the medieval reenactment society at school, so that's awesome.
The Bonding - Never seen this before... This was a VERY interesting episode. When Marla Aster appeared in Jeremy's quarters I was like "What the fuck???" (Seriously. If my cousins had been in the room at the time I would've had to apologize profusely and explain to them that cussing is wrong.) Because the whole episode is quite depressing this is not one of my favorites, but is definitely interesting and also provides us with insight as to how Wesley felt when his father died. It was also very nice of Worf to bond with Jeremy as a brother. So, plenty of "Aww!" moments, and a few "WTF?" moments too.
Booby Trap - Seen it before, but it's still a nice episode. Poor Geordi can't get a real girl... and I liked the discussion about ships in bottles in the transporter room.
The Enemy - Another episode I've never seen before. Geordi makes some damn funny comments in this one!
The Price - Seen it before... Opening scene is great, showing Troi's frustration at Picard interupting her. Didn't enjoy the Troi/Ral plot. I particularly liked the dialogue between Geordi and Data before they entered the wormhole.
Geordi: The idea of being stuck out here for centuries isn't too appealing.
Data: There is a bright side. You will have me to talk to.
Definite "Aww!" moment right there.
The Vengeance Factor - To be honest, I think I've already seen every episode on this disc... Opening's nice... Worf can't open the door but Data can (ha ha!) Loved the dialogue about "campfires." Interesting problem with the special virus that only kills a certain clan. Poor Riker has to kill his girl in the end. Nice little story overall.
The Defector - Not particularly a favorite, but a nice little story. I was unable to focus much on it this time because my cousins were with me asking all sorts of questions about Romulans (which they jokingly call "Ramens") and Klingons (when I said Romulans don't get along with Klingons, my youngest cousin asked if Riker was a Klingon because he had just finished insulting the Romulan. I had to remind him about Worf.) I liked the opening scene, and the bit of dialogue when Geordi tells Data something about the Romulans being caught with their pants down.
The Hunted - Ok, so I haven't seen this one before. Again, neat little story. The chase was pretty good. The prisoner is very smart. The whole discussion about conditioning kinda reminds me of Clockwork Orange and the stuff we learned in psychology last year.
The High Ground - Nice look at terrorism, though I don't dwell on the relevance to modern day issues. I don't like picking apart episodes for relevance cuz it takes all the fun out of watching. The scene with the bomb on the warp core was pretty cool.
Deja Q - I LOVE THIS EPISODE! I'd totally rate it as one of my top 5 favorites. (Three guesses as to why

). Data's got some great scenes in here with Q. I liked the encounter in Ten Forward. I thought it was awesome how Data sacrificed himself to protect Q, and as a gift Q lets him experience true laughter for the first time, which is one of my favorite scenes in the series. Q is absolutely hilarious in this episode.
A Matter of Perspective - Oh, so THIS is the episode with the scene where Data criticizes Picard's art! Anyway, it's pretty interesting. Really neat way of having witnesses present testimonies, though when the wife did hers and they went to the bedroom I was like "Oh God I can see where this is going..." Nice solution, too.
Yesterday's Enterprise - Like "Q who?" this sets alot of stuff in motion, making it an important episode, but not one of my favorites. Gotta admit I like the prune juice scene at the beginning. The whole concept behind the episode is interesting, and I like how only Guinan can sense something's wrong, but I gotta ask... Where the hell did the rocks come from???? Notice when the console blows and Riker dies, there's rocks that fly out everywhere. It's not shrapnel, it's fucking ROCKS! WTF? Oh, and their uniforms look pretty cool. I still prefer the regular style though.
The Offspring - Not exactly one of my all time favorite Data episodes, but at least it's better than Schizoid Man. This episode is pretty great though. I liked watching Lal grow and learn. The scene with Riker was hilarious, and the final scene between Data and Lal was very touching.
Sins of the Father - Watching the teaser, I thought... "Oh boy, this is gonna be interesting!" I lol'd at Wesley chatting with Data and getting told off by Kurn. Then it was revealed that Kurn was Worf's brother and I was like "WTF???" Anyway, for some reason I seem to enjoy most of these Klingon episodes. Also... Discommodation? Does that mean Worf's now an outcast?
Allegiance - Ok, Picard singing drinking songs in Ten Forward? That's HILARIOUS! Alot of the stuff that happened with the fake Picard was pretty damn funny, including the sexual tension between him and Beverly. But that scene in Ten Forward just makes this whole episode worthwhile.
Captain's Holiday - I've actually never seen this episode before. It's a nice episode. The whole conspiracy to get Picard to go is hilarious, and it's nice to see him fall in love with Vash.
Tin Man - A cute episode. Seen it before. Nice solution. No standout moments though I obviously liked the fact that Tam hung out with Data the whole time. Ending was cute though.
Hollow Pursuits - Barclay's first episode. He's a pretty funny character. This episode is quite funny throughout, from Picard accidentally calling him Broccoli (which I'd seen before, but didn't catch Data's reaction the first time I watched it, where he explains it's a common mistake and goes on but a sharp look from Picard makes Data stop mid-sentence and return to work. LOL!) to Troi and Riker's reactions to their holodeck counterparts.
The Most Toys - Once again, it's a Data episode, so how can I not like it? This is one of my favorites, despite its seriousness. Pretty neat storyline, and its interesting how that scene goes when they transport Data back and his weapon goes off. It's almost like he did fire at Fajo and lied to cover his ass, but he's not supposed to be capable of lying.
Sarek - Meh, nothing too special. The fight in Ten Forward was hilarious though.
Menage a Troi - Another Lwaxana episode, so naturally it's hilarious. Picard using Shakespeare to get her back is one of my favorite scenes in the series.
Transfigurations - At first I was wondering whether or not I'd seen this episode before. Many parts seemed familiar but others did not. As the episode progressed, I realized I had seen it already. Nice episode. And Geordi gets a girl, too!
Best of Both Worlds part 1 - Alright. I know it's a very important episode, and many people consider this two-parter to be the best ever, but that does not make it a favorite of mine. I hate Shelby almost as much as I hate Jellico. There's nothing in particular about this episode that I like... It's almost pure sci-fi drama, technobabble, and action, hardly any humor or lightheartedness. The poker game was nice, though.
Looks like I'm WAAAAAAAAAAAAY ahead of y'all.

Meh, I had nothing better to do this week.
