A Glimpse of Your Room (Post Your Pics)

DSCN0046.jpg

It's kind of small in here, but cozy (Shimmy is watching birds on the feeder :) )

I like it. Take out the bunk beds and replace them with more shelving, and it'd be the perfect size for me an office.

I like smaller spaces for offices. Keeps everythign within arm's reach, and I don't get the "Empty Space...ieeeee, wasted space...must fill it with something...NOW!" vibe.

^ Since the room has what appears to be fitted wood bunk beds, I suspect it's supposed to have been a kids bedroom initially... in any case, great and imaginative use of space. God knows how you managed to find beds and and desks that fit so very exactly without paying an absolute fortune.

Looks like the beds were there first, then the room was build around them and a desk fitted to the one end -after all, SPOCKED is handy ;)

The old "SPOCKED central" was a LOT bigger -how did you even survive the transition?
 It's been tough, but at least I own this.

The desk was cut to fit (from a scrap I got from work) and slid into place. And yes, since the kids aren't here full time, I've begun to turn it into my getaway. But it's still a work in progress. Later when we completely finish the basement, I'll have a much larger SPOCKED central ;)

I live on my own in a studio apartment on the second floor.

Most of my furniture is from Ikea. The keen observer notices a lack of a TV. It's on my list of things I still need to buy in the near future. (On the list it's just below a bigger bed).

I have a dead tree too (okay it's a semi-dead mini tree)

Awesome pictures, everyone. Your rooms are so much neater and more organized than mine. J. Allen and Spots, care to come over to my house and help me unclutter? Omnius, you have quite a collection there. I've been thinking about buying more SFF stuff (e.g., Lord of the Rings, Star Wars memorabilia), but I've put that plan aside for now. ;) Shaw, lots of monitors. Is that your home office?

Well to be honest, I did clean up my apartment a bit before I took the photos.
Fortunately you can't see the dust in my pictures :D.
:rommie::rommie::rommie:

Strategically pointing the camera away from the mess also helps.

You will notice that there is no floor in any of the images I posted! :p

Mine was cleaned and organized for a similar thread elsewhere heh. Typically there's books and notepads everywhere and theres a hidden bottle recycling stash under the desk.

I'm slightly envious of some of the pics though - I never actually finished decorating when I moved in as I only planned to be on a short term lease. Seeing how nice other peoples houses have turned out has made me think of finally getting round to finishing the project.

I had posted some in the Picture thread, but I've done some more decorating of my new room, so here are some new shots.

View from outside the door, at all of my lovely floor space. :)
