Thanks!! I have pretty much painted my whole house white but this is the only room that is monochromatic. The livingroom/dining room is white but i used colour for the furnishings and art. I've yet to paint my den but its next on my list. There is a wall to wall brick fireplace that i also plan on painting white.

Here is my kitchen and another view of the livingroom..

Oh yeah, big white dog doing much damage to my new house.
He has cost me thousands of dollars in damage in the last 6 months or so. He actually ate through a door. I have a half a door. He's recently ate my bedroom. He got himself trapped in there and then tried to get out. He ripped up half the room, walls, baseboards, my box spring, some of the drywall, half the carpeting.

I really love this dog, and the kids love him. He is such a nice even tempered dog. He doesn't bark, he is super smart, but i just don't know what to do anymore. He gets scared when he is trapped or alone and panics. He also loves the trash and fish food of all things. If he can get into a cupboard he'll eat everything thats in there. If anything is left on the counter he'll eat it. Usually he does this on my nice white carpet.

Some dogs do this because they're nuts, but some do this because of some nutritional deficiency or another -- also, if the dog has been a stray, he may have an instinct to eat anything in sight. What's his history?

Wow, it's pristine, and beautiful! I couldn't do a white room, I drink tea in bed. :)

Coincidentally, as my mother is an anxious person and is comforted by the ability to visualize her children in their environments, she asked me to take pictures of my apartment for her. My work gave me a new video camera, though, so I thought it'd be more fun to try it out. I'm afraid my room is still a bit young, but I like it. The walls are white now, but I think I'm going to paint them this month. Please excuse my pajama-ed and mussy-haired self:

He was brought into the humane society at around 3 months. He had been mauled by another dog and has scarring running down his one side. This hasn't effected his behavior around people or other animals though. He is passive with everyone and plays really well with small dogs. He is actually gentle and knows his size intimidates them so he plays appropriate games so as not to hurt or scare them. He is a sheep dog(akbash) so this is a big part of his very gentle nature.
I don't think he was a stray, i think that once he was mauled maybe whoever had him didnt want to pay the vet bills.

He has separation issues, and he doesn't like to be confined. If there is a nutritional deficiency how would i find that out? What could i do for him?

Love the Sagan poster, and the hardwood floors.
White walls are a good way to highlight bold colours or texture. White is wonderful, i love white, the world should be painted white.

The pajamas wee cute... though not as cute as the voice :p

David Bowie party? I need to arrange one of them! Was that a David Tennant calendar? My eyes are old and feeble :(
Yes! The Bowie Ball! It's semi-annual Lower West side party, and it's great fun. And you're right, that's a David Tennant calendar, my dad got it for me for Christmas. It's hysterical because it's HUGE -- all giant close ups, it's really funny!

Thanks! I drew that picture with a sharpie set, shortly after he died. Then, just a couple of years ago I redid the picture after seeing some beautiful graffiti in Brooklyn -- some one painted on the sidewalk, perfectly visible from the Williamsburg Bridge, in 2 foot high letters: CARL SAGAN CARED, PUNKS!

I love they way you've worked white walls into your decor, but I'm longing for color. I love a soothing color for bedroom walls, and I'm thinkin of going with a pale green.

so first I grab my camera then I realize it takes better movies then pictures lots better movies then pictures ., after about hundred picture i finally do a walk-thru of some of the areas of my apartment mid-gaming experimental situations and etc., thinking *lol* to start at the hundred or so four-track audios I chose to keep at hand out of the thousand or more four track tapes with the picture of miss liberty and a partly painted maraca there. (don't worry about the dirty laundry It is getting done tomorrow most likely. so the movie is brief about 57 sec point 17. Guessing it will go up on youtube so the viewing load is easier. It will probably take longer to up load then to create so It is in the creation process now and will go to youtube after that.

so yeah youtube takes a while to process this stuff but at a pinch this will work ., if a glimpse is all ya want .,

the longer version complete with kitchen mess and refrigerator word magnets ., 3:41 min

Um, first, those red chairs! Where did you get them? They're fantastic as is the couch! I also love the danish modern sideboard in the second photo! :bolian:

You need to talk to a behaviorist. The problem with confinement might be addressable through very gradual crate training, which would also, if successful, help with the chewing thing, obviously.

The Italian leather chairs are awesome are they not?! I love them and they are so comfy! I got them at the brick this summer. The china cabinet i inherited from my late aunt. It is teak, but i dont know much else about it. It has some very cool lines though. My coffee table is also teak and this is the first time its ever fit into a room so well.

Actually come to think of it, my mom has the same cabinet just smaller and her dining table is part of the same set. I'll have to ask her where she got it. Mind you this is going back a long long time ago. I bet the coffee table is part of the same set too, i did get it from my mom.
