A fountain ~ how lovely, but not in my bathroom

I learned where the water cutoff valve is in my mother's home when I had to replace the water filter there a few months back. It was all full of gunk and sand. Darn well-water.

While I'm not really known as the "handy" sort, I am at heart an engineer; I'll tackle any home-hardware problem with sufficient motivation.
