A DS9 Borg Episode

I also remember a graphic novel one time in which Sisko fought the Borg in the Holodeck on DS9. Can't remember the name though. He kept trying to see if there was anyway he could have won that battle.
Was that pre-Worf or post-Worf?
It was before Worf arrived on DS9. The graphic novel seemed to be set in the 1st or 2nd season.

I am glad that they largely left the Borg out of DS9. I recently finished watching VOY for the first time and I feel like I am over saturated with all of the Borg episodes that they had. I enjoyed Seven of Nine and her storyline but all of the appearances by the Borg Queen and even in the final episode, well, it was just too much for me. DS9 is probably my favorite of the various ST series and I think part of that is because they avoided the obvious villains and focused more on political and religious ideas which is so far removed from the story of the other series', although I did enjoy the exploration of religion from a Borg perspective with Seven in VOY. Overall, I am happy that the Borg never really showed up. They had their hands full with the Dominion anyway.

The Borg were only in three or four episodes per 26-episode season of VOY. How is that oversaturation? :wtf:
20 episodes of Voyager they were in, plus a main character was borg.

Compared to the 6 episodes and 1 movie in TNG and the 1 episode each for DS9 and Ent.

There was a Rumour that Sisko was going to fight alongside Picard in "Star Trek: Destiny" (First Contact) I read about that in the "Star Trek magazine" UK.
Why didn't they go through with it? :(

Brooks didn't want to do it was the explanation at the time.

I think a good DS9 episode would have been for the Defiant to be in the Gamma Quadrant trying to spy on the Dominion when it comes in contact with a Borg Cube but manages to escape into a Nebula, the Cube stays around the Nebula waiting for them to come out so Sisko and the crew know they must do something to destroy the Borg, eventually they come up with a plan to leave the nebula and immediately jump to warp into Dominion space, the Cube follows but at the same time the Dominion sends ships to intercept the Defiant when the Defiant drops out of warp the Borg and Dominion engage in battle along with the Defiant, the Dominion sends ship after ship and eventually the Cube is outgunned and destroyed but with Dominion losses too, the Defiant surrounded by damaged Dominion ships heads for the wormhole and to safety.

It's all non-canon, but an early novel had a Borg Cube popping through the wormhole after stumbling through it. However, the Cube was far too large for what the wormhole could pass through, and so it was barely visible in the event horizon before it imploded. Sisko and the gang quickly noted that because the cube would have essentially disappeared, that it would be quite some time before the skittish Borg sent anything else to investigate. They then continued with the main story, pausing long enough to note that Bashir was on Earth at the time of the first Borg incursion.

This scene was in the second DS9 novel, Peter David's "The Siege." The Borg ship is destroyed when it attempts to come through while the wormhole is taking a shit. IIRC Sisko blows it off because he assumes the Borg will detect the loss of their ship and post a big "Do Not Enter" sign on the wormhole and thus avoid it. A great and somewhat chilling scene when the crew realizes who was coming to visit- at first they are trying to warn them not to come through.
