It's off-topic, and I'm pointing out there's already an appropriate thread. So wind your neck in with your condescending.

Who's being "condescending"? I was quoting The Doctor in reference to your random whining. We were having fun in here before you arrived, so go away. :p

Do you guys want even more infractions? :vulcan:
Just let the moderators handle these kinds of judgments as to what is allowed.

There's been a serious drop in the forum's atmosphere, due to this kind of sniping. Try to lay off it, so we can get the place back to what it once was. Please?

Are you reprimanding me for reprimanding Bones, or just reprimanding Wamdue? :p

I'll play nice. :techman:

That's my expression that is.

Nicely done, very natural looking.

I see your Avatar has regenerated (twice in one fell swoop, it seems)

ITElf, way cool

CZ, anxiously awaiting a finsihed copy when Tennant's Graining is done. (Of course in a spot the Mods deem appropriate)

Some nice visuals in this special, but really not a good entry in the Dr Who pantheon...Xmas on another planet?? Flying fish...wtf...what evolution produced those things?? Most maddening of all, why did the Dr never attmept to save or have Kazran Sardick save the people frozen in the vault? Why don't they just go back in time to give Abigail more time? They've already changed Sardick's memories! Very disjointed and non-sensical. 4 out of 10.

For the more artistically inclined: wasn't there a drawing/painting program that could convert images into paintings 'in the style of' various artists. I remember a series of photos of a lirttle fat kid converted into Renoir and the like, and I'm sure this program would have a Van Gogh setting, so if a picture of 11 was input...

Here's the kid (no painting ones though):

Its a strange and bizzarre universe out there...

As for all the time changes, I suspect the Docs still got a few bad memories of when he tried to play hero back on the Mars Base. One hopes that once Kazran's attitude changed, he decided to free all those people on his own.

Not evolution. From what I could gather from watching, Humanity colonized this planet and discovered the peculiar property that any fish they brought form Earth started flying up into the clouds.

As for not getting Kazran Sardick to release everyone.. For one they're not dead, just cryogenically frozen on an already overpopulated planet. Second, changing Kazran Sardick's heart as The Doctor did should have changed Kazran to having a kinder disposition towards freeing the frozen people anyway. Beneficial side effect. The Doctor just did not anticipate the complication that Abigale was dying.

As for not going back in time to cure Abigale's disease, yes I suppose he could have done that but you could argue the same thing for just about every single episode of Doctor Who. No one has to die, yippie! The Doctor right wrongs, but he doesn't go around saving every single person's life and prevent anyone from dying like those Vulture thingies on SJA tried to do.

Well why wouldn't there be Christmas on another planet? And I liked the idea that Christmas is a half way out of the dark festival, winter is winter, no matter what world it's on, it might last longer or shorter than on Earth but its still gonna have a midway point.

Would have been funny if the Doctor had said something like "Of course Christ was born in July, lovely day it was too, so Christmas in December never made sense to me..." :)

Yeah the people frozen in the vaults was a bit of a dangling plot thread, but as people have said there was a whole story point about the planet being overpopulated which likely isn't going to change.

The story doesn't hold up to really close scutiny, but I guess precious few stories do...

Sure.... Max Capricorn's Titanic. :p
in that case, I best make some course corrections, as well as getting rid of some of the senior staff.

May I also recommend a full heath and safety inspection:p
ok seriously as I recall the episode, the Titanic wasnt a doomed ship, an old ship on her final voayge yes, but not a ship doomed like the real titanic.

The reason the Star Ship Titantic hit the asteroids was that the captain let down the shields and altered the course so that the asteroids would hit it.

There was nothing wrong with the ship, it was an insurance job.
