They released a Greatest Hits album last year, complete with new remixes of old classics.
My personal favourite Sash song: "Ecuador!" :lol:

Sash! also did a remix of the OMD classic "Enola Gay" which I liked. :)

Hootie and the Blowfish, one of my favorite (guilty pleasure) bands of the 90s. So glad Darius Rucker made the move to Country since I've always thought he had a country voice.

My favorite song of them from the decade:

Great song. Need to find that Pulp cd.

There are many Australian bands I could mention - but Regurgitator and Spiderbait come to mind at the moment. Do a search for Old Man Sam by Spiderbait and/or Blubber Boy by Regurgitator on youtube.
 
I love Garbage (now that sounds odd). I remember going to a Garbage/Alanis Morissette concert. That was like the perfect pairing for me.

The first CD I ever bought was Marcy Playground. I bought it for Sex and Candy, a very nice song, but ended up loving the rest of their music as well.
 
Also speaking of Garbage, Richard Cheese does an excellent rendition of "I'm Only Happy When It Rains". Personally, my favorite Garbage song is "Breaking Up The Girl", which was premiered on MTV during the Daria finale by Daria and an animated version of the band.

I'm pretty fond of the full length version of the Daria theme, "You're Standing On My Neck" by Splendora, too.

Absolutely. "Superman's Song", "Mmmm mmmm mmmm mmmm", "Afternoons and Coffeespoons", "The Psychic", "Two Knights and Maidens", "Keep A Lid On Things", "A Little Something" - CTD was one of the most underrated bands of the '90s IMO, at least here in the States.

Does anyone else remember Prozzak?

Let her Cry was one of the best songs of the 90s.

Other 90s bands I'd have to say where Live and The Wallfowers. Live had their classic Throwing Copper in that decade, with songs like "Lightning Crashes". The Wallflowers also were great in that decade, though I also enjoyed their 2000s musica as well.

What happened to this group. They were good and then just disappeared. Since you posted, I've been listening to that song, and another song of theirs a lot lately.

Also, we've gone through this whole thread and no mention of Madonna yet. I used to listen to her Album "Bedtime Stories" all the time and every song on that album was amazing, especially Survival, Secret, Human Nature, and Take a Bow. I also think Ray of Light came out in the 90s and most of those tracks were awesome too. Madonna really hasn't been the same since Music came out I think. "Confessions on a Dance Floor" was too electronica for my tastes.

the spin doctors blimey dose that bring back memories liked thier first song (well i think it was) two princes also the prodigy were pretty dam good best track was firestarter not sure if that was the 90's or not.
any one remeber delitee groove is in the heart? certain that was the 90's probaly early 90's about 92

(incidentally the song samples frequently from a certain song from one of the band's favourite influences - a clue: I posted it in the 80s music thread.)

Me, personally I preferred "Smack My Bitch Up". :bolian: No, I'm not going to link to the video. :p
