Jamie Mathieson wrote last week's Mummy on the Orient Express as well as this week's Flatline. I loved both episodes a lot as both episodes are quite different from Moffat's style of Who. Is there any chance of him taking over as executive producer when Moffat leaves?

Can anybody identify the piece of music playing during the Doctor's speech when he's finally able to pop out of the tardis?

It sounds like it's the new theme for the Twelfth Doctor, and can also be heard during key Doctor scenes in Mummy on the Orient Express and Kill the Moon, off the top of my head.

It's certainly a nice tune, though it doesn't quite compare to the tunes Smith and Tennant had for their themes, like I am the Doctor for Smith and All the Strange, Strange Creatures for Tennant.

Wow, finally a great episode this season. This had all of the horror that I wanted from "Listen" (which only had it in the bedroom scene), wonderful humor, good use of Danny Pink (although it was still a bit unnecessary), and all around stand out episode for Clara. The Boneless are on of the best monsters we've had in a long time, even if their status as monsters were deliberately left ambiguous. That very aspect (as well as the nature in relation to our universe and trying to understand us) reminded me of Big Finish's Iterations of I, a recent Fifth Doctor audio play with Tegan, Nyssa, and Adric. I hope the show explores their existence in a future episode.

I'm sure someone else has pointed this out, but the Boneless' initial appearance in the train tunnel reminded of the shadow creatures in Ghost.

TARDIS with its version of the Batmobile armor. I automatically want to have a 9' version of it. :)

It seems the design for the replica was "locked" in April of this year, six months ago now. One wonders if they knew what it actually was when they answered the call to make it.

Then we'll all be hating him and waiting for him to go. :)

Those are Gllifreyan glyphs on the sides of the Siege mode TARDIS.

I wonder what they say?

"Hey kids get off my lawn!"?

The internal architecture of the TARDIS is not "inside" the blue box that we see.

Inside the box that we see is length, width and depth (3 very visible dimensions).

There are 34 other dimension that have nothing to do with length, width and depth, and the massive internal structure of the TARDIS resides "inside" one of those.

But...

The TARDIS did get Massive on Trenzelor.

But that was the TARDIS leaking similar to how the Boneless were leaching.

Oh?

Were the Boneless trying to constipate the TARDIS on Trenzelor?

He's only written for a few TV shows and has never been a showrunner, there is no chance the BBC will choose him.

Still I hope they keep bringing him back for an episode or two every year.

He has already been snatched up to be the showrunner of another SF series; one based on Heavy Metal comics. (As in Metal Hurlant not the music.) So expect a lot more blood and boobs than in Doctor Who...

"Oh, it's a Chinese Puzzle Box!"

"No, it's a French Puzzle Box."

"What?"

"It's a French Puzzle Box."

"Why the #### are the French making Chinese Puzzle Boxes?"

"It's not a Chi... Lets just summon the demon, have our faces turned inside out and call it a day."

Always loved the puzzle box from the Hellraiser movies. ;)

I need to find a novelty hand prop I bought several years ago; wedge its wrist into one of my Characte Options "Flight Control" TARDIS toys. It's actually a rather well crafted hand. It maintains its shape, has some wire in each of the digits to bend them a bit and even has details like wrinkles and fingerprints. A local department store had an entire shelf of the things, selling them for just 5 bucks. I can't recall what company released them, but this wasn't that flimsy, almost gelatinous rubber one you often see around Halloween. This thing looks like it was cast from a mold taken of an actual person's hand.

If I can find the absurd thing, I'll take a snapshot and post it.

Sincerely,

Bill
