83rd Annual Academy Awards Show: Discussion/Commentary

Do you guys notice that JF almost NEVER looks at Anne Hathaway?

He's thinking of me.

No. He is thinking of me.

Maybe he's afraid his eyes would gravitate downward if he did.

Ok. You must not read the tabloids. :rommie:

But truthfully, I think James is just nervous as hell. He is practically in a froth from all the sweating. He is using the teleprompter as a lifeline so he doesn't freak out.

And I know I might get stoned for this but... I actually like to hear Gwenyth sing.

The Social Network winning these awards is pissing me off. Am I the only person in the world who didn't think that movie was all that? :scream:

You're not the only one! I bought it sight unseen and want to return the DVD, but I can only exchange it for the same movie. :(
I didnt see this movie, but I think it's unnesecary to make movie about something that would have been invented anyway. It's like making a movie about Taco Bell instead of Dell Taco. I mean, has anyone ever made a movie about Alexander Grahm Bell?

Yeah, yeah... we know how many times you have been nominated Randy. There is no reason, other than your ego, to keep reminding us.

Oh and angry much?

Actually, they did a long time ago. I think Don Ameche played Bell.

I knew I was going to put my foot in my mouth, but you get my point, I hope.

I saw The Social Network. I liked it but it didn't scream Oscar winner to me. I thought the best performance (Andrew Garfield) wasn't even recognized. I thought The King's Speech was much better.

Natalie "My shit doesn't smell" Portman will likely take Best Actress. I say Social Network is a lock now for Best Picture.
