I think Seven would've looked good in something similar to Kira's red uniform. Not the one in the earlier seasons, with the huge dorky shoulder pads, but more like this one:

Yeah, that would have been ideal. But every Trek series has had a female character in a form-fitting or revealing outfit, from Uhura to T'Pol. Even Kes had a tight-fitting bodysuit for a while. I've come to accept it as an annoying but inevitable trademark of the franchise.
And it's not just Star Trek. Attractive female characters have always been sexualized. I mean, look at some of the outfits worn by female comic book characters. How Emma Frost has never been arrested on suspicion of prostitution, I'll never know.
I said nothing about sexualization. I don't think it's a big deal when characters are sexualized, provided that it makes sense for said characters. Some people in real life are more in touch with their sex-appeal than others, after all. My point was that she didn't have to wear a "sexy uniform". She could have worn clothes, sexy clothes sometimes, not particularly sexy clothes some other times. That's basically what I was saying. "Sexualization" probably wasn't the right term. Perhaps I should have said "objectification". My bad.
Amen to that. Seeing Seska in a Starfleet uniform always makes me die a little on the inside. Then again, seeing Seska period usually does that.
I was just saying this goes back long before Star Trek.
I think it would've been more interesting if they outed Seska as a Cardassian, but she didn't betray them(or get caught) to the Kazon. Dealing with a Cardassian in the open would force a little drama.
Because she is so hot?
I would have loved to see a Cardassian as a regular or recurring character on Voyager. It would have made for a lot of interesting conflict. I just never liked Seska, even before her betrayal. She was horrid.
