It's that time of the year again! The Emmys are here. Let's see which shows and actors win!

The Emmys will be airing tonight live on NBC starting at 8PM ET and 5PM PT. This year's show will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon.

Who do you want to win?

I know what I'll be rooting for. GO LOST!

Here is a list of the nominations and some of the winners that have already been chosen:

It's also the time when very angry people (Critics and viewers alike) spout angry venom over how this show deserved to win this or that show deserved to win that, and how the overall award show sucks so much and it's an insult to the TV industry. Why does this time of year bring out so much hate in people.

Oh, and while I only think Glee will when one award (Jane Lynch for best supporting actress), I hope it does well.

For best drama, I'm torn between Lost and Dexter.

For best actor, Michael C. Hall.

Other than that, I don't care. But I'm still annoyed Katey Sagal didn't get a nomination.

I hope that Sir Patrick Stewart wins an Emmy for Hamlet, but it's likely that John Goodman will win.
Al Pacino will most definately win for playing Dr. Kervokian. He looked and sounded like the man.

Rooting for Jim Parsons for best actor in comedy, Aaron Paul as best supporting actor in a drama, Kyra Sedgwick as best actress in a drama. Bryan Cranston for best actor in a drama has been done, but it's a better role and performance than Michael C. Hall as Dexter. Season four being the weakest yet sort of devalue the award. And giving Emmies to Terry O'Quinn or Michael Emerson for the Lost trainwreck gives it all the cachet of the Golden Globes!

S3 of Dexter is clearly the weakest season because that's when the writers got a little cowardly about their premise and tried to get away with settling into a comfortable groove where they wouldn't be forced to end the show after five or six seasons. But in S4 they got their nerve back and got back on the horse.

And as we all know, Emmys are like Oscars - sometimes people win them as a make-up. That's why Hall and Dexter are owed. Lost also might be owed another Emmy just for the whole span of what the show accomplished, but I'd prefer if Dexter got it since Lost won once already. I just hope that godawful overrated snoozefest Mad Men doesn't win anything, although I know how futile a sentiment that is. :rommie:

That was an awesome opening with Jimmy Fallon and the Glee cast! :techman:

I saw Jorge Garcia in it too.

Lynch won, so should I continue Watching.

Also, has anyone here watched Modern Family? Is it as good as people say it is. Might have to do a quick Marathon of it and then get ready for this season. I wonder since Lost is being streamed on Netflix if Modern Family will to when it's released.

Looks like Glee and Modern Family will be the big comedy winners for the night. They both have 2 Emmy wins right now.

Jim Parsons won for lead actor in a comedy for The Big Bang Theory! I know that the show has tons of fans here. They should be happy. :D

The Amazing Race has finally been dethroned. Thank god for that. (And I like the show, but 7+ years of winning was too much)

I think it's worth a watch or two. I think it's very funny, but my sense of humor may not be for everyone. ;)
