That's very true. The new Doctor's timing just seems to be getting more accurate recently (including being able to accurately recover Dr. Song).

ETA: Whoops, got my episodes mixed up - the 50's concert was the 2010 Olympics; they were heading somewhere else though when they ended up in Scotland. Haven't watched that season in a long time.

No, you mixed up your mixup! They were heading to a 1969 concert when they landed in 1869 in "Tooth and Claw". They were heading for a Elvis concert in New York when they landed in Britain in "The Idiot's Lantern". I don't remember any hint in "Fear Her" that they were aiming for some other time/place.
