Lets throw Graham Norton into the Pandorica.

Anyways, I've been wondering if everyone is hearing the signal the Pandorica is sending out shouldn't past doctors and future doctor's be hearing this?

Maybe this can lead to a time crash moment

^ I suppose that is theoricaly possible but if future Doctor's (I guess the remaining three) why would they go back to the past to aide their previous self? What'd be the point? If he died and regenerated into the Twelfth Doctor then the timestream would still continue noromally? I think they'd only interfere or aide if it caused some kind of problem for them.

I think the doctor (and therefore every doctor) was blocked. His curiosity was only going to lead him into this mess if he didn't think anyone was leading him, was only going to lead him there if he thinks he is being excluded and singled out as the one person who was not wanted there. It was a soft sell. The doctors triggers are simple to catalogue and simple to pull.

I think since the show rebooted he has really been coasting on his reputation.

Guy Gardener, you are a smorgasbord of genius. :techman:

Aren't you supposed to be dead?

Why did you leave me....on Genesis, Psion...

I'm thinking [dangerous I know], there has to be a reset for at least this season at the end of "The Big Bang" for one reason: If the doctor is locked in the Pandorica for ~2000 years shouldn't he have regenerated a couple times and be dead by the time young Amy comes along?

Going on the leak photos, this isn't a finale-spoiler thread, so that should've been coded.

ETA: Well, now I look like a crazy person. There used to be a post mentioning some things in finale seen in an on-set photo.

If you're refering to my comment about the Time Stop thing, that's pure speculation. I have no idea really.

Mr Awe

I had a post about leaked photos and a theory, and rather than fight with the spoiler code I just pulled it and reposted it in another thread.

And it's not a spoiler... it was mentioned in THE PANDORICA OPENS by River when she told the doctor about the protocols and such in the box

Depends on whether or not you define the current Doctor Who as being the same program that premiered in 1963, or if you define it as a separate program with the same name. Certainly the fact that "Rose" is considered episode one of Series One points in favor of the latter rather than the former. ;)

If he had said, "first episode", I might agree. But he said, "very first episode". Doctor Who is Doctor Who. "Very first episode" is not vague. It means, "An Unearthly Child". "First episode" is sufficiently vague. It can mean, "Rose" or "An Unearthly Child". Ergo, if he meant "Rose", he misspoke.

Not this whole mess again, Doctor Who is Doctor Who, it went off the air for a while and came back in 2005. It's the same continuation of the same series.
Exactly.

looks like the finale will air after an England vs Germany match, should be good for ratings, but obvious problems of over time, should England take it to penalties like they have in the past.

England match is sunday not saturday, if we had won our group then Doctor Who would of been on before England leading into it. The ratings would of been boosted leading into a England match so now we will just have to hope for a spot of bad weather instead.

Come final numbers 7-7.5 million will have watched episode 12 so 13 hopefully will go up. I will guess at just over 8 million :techman: that would be a fantastic success. I hope theres not a important Wimbledon match this saturday.

that is where I got confused.

England is playing Germany on Sunday, not on Saturday. There are, however, two World Cup games on Saturday, one at 3 pm and one at 7:30 pm British time. But since the next episode is supposed to start at 6 pm, this shouldn't be a problem, even if the BBC will broadcast the two games (I have no idea how that works in the UK).

Exactly.

That's certainly one way of looking at it. But it's not the only way of looking at it, and if one accepts that other people can legitimately operate from different premises from one's own, one can accept that the phrase "very first episode" can legitimately refer to "Rose" rather than "An Unearthly Child."
