52 new ones?

My wife and I were watching A PIECE OF THE ACTION (while I was getting a piece of my own action..but..ahem..I digress). While watching the scene with Kirk playing Fizbin, I wonder, do you think it was a new deck of cards just bought? Because as Kirk deals the hand, he deals up the same cards...and it actually sounded like a good hand until he Gorked the other guy...

and I think they were like, playin' with a pinochle deck or something.

The deck was probably a cooler for gin rummy or whatever game they usually play on Sigma Iotia, but Kirk turned it around with his improvisation. Just a guess.
