50th Anniversary Collection

Recently at a library sale, I came across a hefty anthology called Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Collection - 11 Doctors, 11 Stories. Each story featured one of the Doctor's incarnations up to that point (not including the War Doctor, however) and each was written by a different author. The writers include:

Eoin Colfer
Michael Scott
Marcus Sedgwick
Philip Reeve
Patrick Ness
Richelle Mead
Malorie Blackman
Alex Scarrow
Charlie Higson
Derek Landy
Neil Gaiman

I'm currently on the story featuring the Fourth Doctor and I've greatly enjoyed each one so far (I especially liked the twist at the end of the First Doctor's story). Has anyone else come across this collection and what are your thoughts? My only complaint is that they couldn't have included the Twelfth Doctor, but even though it was known that Capaldi was next in line, we had yet to see just what his personality would be.

And by the same token, a story featuring the War Doctor during that time would've been quite interesting as well. All in all though, it's a nice tribute to the 50th and I'm eagerly looking forward to the remaining tales.

Comments welcome!

:)

Just a FYI. This book has been updated several times since then.

And the 4th Doctor story was expanded into a full novel.

Thanks for the info! :techman:

I bought 11, 12 (the box set 12 Doctors 12 Stories 12 Postcards), and 13. I don't think I bought 15, though I might've.

At this point, I only have the 12 box set and 13.

From a title standpoint, I understand why they didn't add a War Doctor story to the set. I wish there were one, though. Hell, I'd have written it; there's a War Doctor story I've long had in mind that would fit that style. (There's been no reason to write it, as there's nothing I could do with it.)

In the stories for Nine, Ten & Eleven, were there any references to the WD, even vague ones? I'm currently on the story for Six.

I'm not positive, but I think they have released all or at least the stories for the 12th - 15th Doctors by individually too.
EDIT: Are these the stories?
