Day 30 – One
This was a very cool idea for an episode. I enjoyed the premise and the performance by 7 of 9. They did a really good job on this show developing her character and giving her growth. Again in the second half it was a bunch of things happening that are not actually happening, this seems to be a common characteristic of Voyager episodes! This time is was 7 of 9 hallucinating and seeing things that were not really there. I wish the episodes would not be about dreams, or holodecks, or alternate universes, or illusions, or hallucinations. Despite that I still liked this episode and really like 7 of 9.
Tomorrow I will be wrapping up season 4 with 4x26 Hope and Fear.

There are plenty of episodes which are not about dreams, holodecks, alternate universes, etc. Maybe not the ones you are watching though.

Day 31 – Hope and Fear
Ok….this time we had a ship that was fake and a message that was fake. The last few episodes I watched there is always something that is fake or not real or doesn’t exist!
Also it’s a bit unbelievable that one alien could make a fake video message and a fake federation ship and also know so much about Voyager. That was a bit hard to accept as plausible.
Besides the 7 of 9 story this whole episode was a bit of a dud and a waste of the story line of the message from Star Fleet. I think the writers could have come up with something more dramatic than this. I guess they mailed it in since they were close to summer vacation.
Season 5 starts tomorrow with 5x01 Night.

I think this episode would have been much better a little earlier and not as a season finale.
I never thought of that but...yeah it is. After this point she is more comfortable with the crew and feels more a part of it.
Day 32 – Night
Did Jeri Ryan’s Breasts get bigger?
Season 5 is just beginning and I believe her boobs have increased in size since season 4! Also FINALLY Janeway realised what a dumbass she was 4 years ago for getting her whole crew stranded. Yes Janeway it is your fault and you should feel regret, it was a stupid decision! So like any spoilt child she is pouting in her quarters refusing to come out. Additionally she is complaining that the area of space they are in is sooooo boring. So in order to fix everything Muldew tries to do something else completely stupid which would result in her being completely stranded from Voyager. God knows how she ever became a Starfleet captain. Good thing the crew is as competent and thoughtful as they are because they save Janeway from own bad decisions and also end up saving the day.
No withstanding my harsh critism of Janeway, I LOVED this episode. You really felt like you were stranded in the night with the ship. The mood, the plot, the acting, the aliens, I thought the whole thing was great. Fantastic start to season 5.
Going deeper into season 5 tomorrow with 5x02 Drone.

A Borg baby starts growing on the ship after a transporter mishap. Janeway decides to let it grow (what could possibly go wrong here…..). As expected the Borg show up and apparently they now have spherical ships.
This was another very good episode. Season 5 has produced two good one back to back. It helps that it featuers the Doctor, 7of9 and Muldew-three of the stronger actors on the show. There are some nice ideas with 29th century technology and a good story to the episode. I am enjoying season 5 so far.
Next up is 5x06 Timeless.

I've just started to watch the series myself. I binge watched all of it over the last few weeks. I know I'm very late to the party but if you are a fan of Jeri Ryan, be sure to catch season 5's "Infinite Regress" and season seven's "Body and Soul." She really shows off her comedic acting chops in Body and Soul.

They just put more padding in her costume.
I enjoy Night as well, one of my favorite episodes of the whole series.
Waste of time. You'd miss all the nuances. Watch an episode a day at lunch time.
I am really enjoying this fast version. I strayed away from my list and tried a few others and I was bored. Hitting the best episodes makes it an amazing series to watch. Granted I will miss some good moments but I also avoid a mound of boredom.
Day 34 - Timeless
So this fits the voyager template for episodes. Start episode with something shocking and unbelievable, in this scenario its Voyager trapped under ice with most of the crew frozen to death. Next have some sort of dystopian future which shows a troubled and criminal Kim and Chakotay and a Voyager that never got home. Finally introduce some way to change everything so what we are watching never happened and Voyager does not end up an ice ball, this time they have a borg temporal communication device which can send messages through time (pretty handy…..).
Was I entertained? Yes.
Was it memorable? No.
Do I want some episodes where things that happen are actually happening? Yes please.
Hopefully things are really happening in 5x11 Latent Image.
