4 Changelings on Earth

Let's assume for a moment fake O'Brien was telling the truth when he mentioned there were four of them. What happened to them? Did they stay on Earth (or in the AQ) long enough to be trapped there after the wormhole closed? Did they return to the GQ after the Dominion War ended, or are they still roaming about for whatever purpose?

Could one of them have fallen in love with someone, or settled into a comfortable life they love? Was it said that they had all taken the identity of someone else who they'd killed/gotten out of the way somehow?

Wouldn't it have been something if some of these Shapeshifters were the Picard Shapeshifters

If they stayed, they probably died due to Section 31's virus. Unless they somehow linked up with the Female Shapeshifter after Odo cured her? Good luck breaking into that prison. I guess they could have surrendered prior to Odo going off to the Great Link and got the cure from him?

Must have been a sensitive blow to their egos, nearly being wiped out by one of those 'inferior' solid species.

Can't imagine them initiating friendly relations with the Federation anytime soon, despite the information Odo carried and that he shared with them. (Though I've heard the changelings reappear in one of the newer series, I haven't seen any of that)/

Yeah, I'd like to see a new series set about 10 years after WYLB, with Odo and few do-gooder Changelings expelled from the Link and a new set of Jems ready for combat. Perhaps, the Changelings fooling the Rommies, Gorn, Tzenkethi, Breen, Kinshaya, and Tholians into whacking the Feds/Cardies/Klingons

I think after their season 6 and 7 experience with the Dominion, the Cardassians would not ally themselves with the Dominion again.

I know that's why I got the Cardies in an alliance w/the Feds.

The four Changelings (assuming Fake O’Brien’s claim was on the level) probably didn’t need to actually DO much of anything. The mere fact that they were there, was all they needed to do a ton of damage,

And I’m sure that once the Leader ordered a ceasefire and withdrawal, they complied.

As for what they did with their targets:

The changelings in PIC didn’t kill their targets (except Ensign Foster), but held them for information. Perhaps it’s the same here.

Martok, for example, was held in a prison camp. And one of them impersonated O’Brien and he didn’t evem know about it!

It guessed the happening of Covid-19: a horrible event happening and everyone forgetting all about it in 2 years.

More just learning to live with it. Covid19 is here to stay, but we can't close the schools and businesses forever.

Changelings are not really known for telling the truth in all circumstances. Maybe there were 4, maybe 400. Maybe the one at Amsterdam was the only one. However many there were, I'd guess that most of their time is collecting information rather than sabatage. With a limited number available, they're not going to risk them being exposed and killed unless the importance of the mission is overwhelming. Better to let a million Jem Hadar die on the front lines than one changeline, is their thinking.
