I know this is a joke, but I don't get it.

He explains how 3DTV glasses work (by rapidly shutting off one eye's lens and then the other's.) When he activates his "3D without glasses system" he flutters his eyes rapidly as if the system is doing the same thing to him only to his physical eyes rather than the glasses.

I can't quite tell. Is he actually blinking his eyes really fast, or is he getting from CG help with that? I mean, even if he could do rapid-fire blinking as a trick, it'd be impressive if he could also keep up his attention so he doesn't blow his lines.

I have to assume that's a computer assist... Either that or I am just really awful at blinking

I saw this yesterday. I can't believe anyone would think it's real. The blinking is totally F/X.

Yeah, I can't believe people fell for it either.

Really, a guy blinking rapidly and staring at an unseen TV is all someone needs to believe in a new 3D technology?

If that's all it takes then someone should put that person in a straight jacket and lock them up. Critical thinking isn't for them.

One nice think to consider is this was ensure the "Blink and you'll miss something!" tag line would never be used again.

It looks synthetic to me. Can't quite put my finger on what's giving it away, it just looks like a visual effect.

I know, I had the same reaction, but "really fast blinking" seems like it could be one of those anatomical parlor tricks some people can do, like dislocating your thumb or folding your ears inside out or undulating your belly.
