3D interiors in Blender

This means TNG style conn/ops stations and red labels, and a much more colorful color pallet for the LCARS, among other things. Hope you like it!

Oh boy oh boy oh boy! I can't begin to describe how perfect this is! ::chef's kiss::

@cardinal biggles: Indeed! The original dimensions I had on that console were from that schematic.

Like I mentioned before I had to modify the consoles I had from the Odyssey in order to fit into the Excelsior, making them taller and wider; something which shouldn't be the case as they should be the exact same ones. After discussing things with Donny and comparing notes, I've come to the conclusion that they were accurate before (so, they're accurate on the Odyssey, Yeager, and other bridges I already did), and it was the ceiling height I had on the Excelsior that was the problem. Essentially, I made it too tall, so now I'll have to bring the ceiling (and doors) down some 20cm, and everything should fit in properly without having to modify the Odyssey consoles. More work, in a sense, but having modified those consoles when I shouldn't have needed to was driving me mad, I knew that something had to be off.

In the meantime, I've finished another small commission: a modification of my USS Cerberus bridge for one of its sister ships, the USS Temeraire NCC-80983. It's identical in aesthetic, it just tweaks some details around. Most notably, there's a new pair of doors flanking the viewscreen, replacing 4 of the perimeter stations.

The other big change is the command seating. The Captain's chair is moved forward, and a rail with a new standing console is placed behind it. The two flanking seats are moved closer to the Captain's, and are provided small consoles of their own for the XO and specialist to use. The floor on this area is also modified somewhat, with the steps moved forward to offer more space for the command crew to walk to their seats. Hope you like it!

I know you've said it isn't one of your favorites, but I'd love to see you do the Sovereign bridge. Looking at this set it's like, "Ooooh, almost!" ;)

@TrekMD: Thanks! :)

@CaptainSerek: Haha, thanks!

@cardinal biggles: Well, get ready, there will be several "ooooh, almost!" coming! ;)

@FormerLurker: Ah, damn. Nah, it's just a commentary on my writing and proofreading skills. :p

Progress on another, very similar commission: the Akira-Class USS Sun Wukong (I can't believe it took me 3 years to do an Akira!). Very much a light redress on the Ross bridge, this one incorporates a Voyager-style bench for the Captain and two guests; plus a three person console behind it. There was no way to make the ramps work without the "horseshoe", so I replaced them with steps and some railing. I still have to do the LCARS, as you can see.

Huh, looks great, but always thought an akira was A carrier , and thought the bridge would have a pool table like the nx-01 back area. Maybe a control pit

@Gibraltar: Thanks! Yes, being based on the Ross bridge, It does have an MSD at the back, but I haven't done the new textures for it yet.

@Lt. Washburn: Thank you, glad you like it!

@The Primeval: To be honest I never much cared for the Voyager bridge, I feel like it's overly too large and disjointed, with lots of different styles mashed together rather than a unified look as most other bridges. As ever, if someone commissions me to do so, I'd do it gladly, but I don't think it's a design which I'll ever pursue personally otherwise.

@valkyrie013: The Akira was never stated as a carrier in canon, plus the finished design does have only two shuttlebay doors, at the back, clearly labeled as "1" and "2", so I tend to believe it's standard in its shuttlebay capacity. I could see it both ways to be honest, perhaps its only some of the ships that are outfitted for carrier duty. FWIW the first Akira bridge I started, for the Thunderchild last year, did have a pool table style console at the back; then again I didn't quite like how it looked, which is why I scrapped it. :p

More LCARS work. I just have to do the Akira graphics for the MSD and this bridge will be done.

Oh yes, it would certainly work as a helm console as well; though I feel like using both the exact same consoles at the front and back (even if with a reversed curve) would be a bit too same-y. I think it would work better if the helm is just one console, to have the consoles at the back broken up into two separate ones. Perhaps an experiment for a personal bridge project down the line. :)

As I'll probably keep working on more interior commissions for the USS Ross in the future, I'm planning on doing a whole range of consoles with this same basic aesthetic (similar stands with "holes" in them, curved controls, inset keyboard areas, etc.) to be used all over the ship, so it's only a matter of time until I do a reversed version of this tactical console for some purpuse. :)

As you can see, I already have two more consoles of this style in progress. One is a short console, similar to half of the Sun Wukong's tactical console; and another one has a flattened area for tools to be placed at. Probably for use on sickbay and engineering.

Going back to the Sun Wukong, the MSD is now done!
EDIT: Yep, I forgot about the forward torpedo launcher above the deflector, which is seen used in First Contact. I've since added it to the MSD.

As someone obsessed with monkey-people in general, I'm very much squeee-ing over the fact that someone named their ship after freaking Sun Wukong.

I'd really hate to be some random alien ship of the week going against a ship named after the Monkey King, an entity so powerful and adept at combat, only Buddha could stop him.
