I think this is a truism that bares repeating. :techman: Even when an TV actor builds a successful movie career afterwards, seldom do they ever truly leave behind the shadow of the television role that made them famous. For example, Will Smith, who still claims even today that he receives more feedback about The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air than he ever does about any of his movie roles over the years.

Actors tend to want to move away from TV and into movies. And we can't blame them, because no question the money is better. But in terms of exposure to the audience, you can't beat landing a role in a long-running TV show. And it's interesting to note how many actors have cottoned onto this, ''coming back'' to the small screen after having made the switch to the big one.
