32nd century was a big mistake... BIG

Kurtzman was the one who pushed the "Burn" storyline...

So the fuck what? Name me a creator that has a 1.000 batting average across all of their work and across all fandoms of any given property?

It doesn't exist. It didn't exist with Roddenberry. It didn't exist with Bennett. It didn't exist with Berman. It didn't exist with Piller or Braga or Taylor. It didn't exist with Behr. It didn't exist with Coto. It didn't exist with Abrams.

Sensing a pattern?

There's already a Strange New Worlds follow-up. It's called Star Trek.

that is true lol

but what if there was a reboot of star trek the original series after strange new worlds

here is a crazy theory what if star trek strange new worlds was set in a alternate timeline that is almost simulor to the original one but is different in many ways that some may and or may not notice

Its not unreasonable given that episode of ENT with the Borg, which is what I subscribe to. I'm pretty sure the owners of Star Trek have directly claimed otherwise.

I mean, it is. "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow" says it is. It just happens to be the same kind of alternate timeline as, say, the one created after "Past Tense" (where suddenly Gabriel Bell looks oddly like Benjamin Sisko in the history books): it's one where the differences turn out to not really have mattered.

I honestly struggle with how events and wars happening 40 years later wouldn’t have massive effects on the timeline.

Sure, but as has been litigated before, that change happened all the way back in "Encounter at Farpoint".

Just trust in the timeline faeries. Or angels. Or whatever. It'll be ok.

This. Just like interstellar distances Star Trek struggles with timelines.
