It was Avery Brook's preferred look.First time I ever saw an interview with Avery Brooks. Even King remarked on how out there Brooks was. He's also bald, a good year and some before Sisko would be.

Agreed. Marina was fun to watch. And Gates does pretty well with what she has to work with. I loved her finally getting upset and taking Ghost Guy (34 my ass) out. I also really liked the friendship that Bev and Deanna show here. That was something I always loved on TNG - there were very few close female friendships on TV back then, so I always liked seeing it.Troi cracks me up in this. And my favorite scene is the fog on the bridge.
Redheads, lots of plaid... yeah, I probably did too.Sometimes it feels like this episode seems to think Ireland and Scotland are the same place although 30 years ago I probably did too.
1994 was a very good year for Star Trek. You had the end of TNG
In that the actual end of TNG was perfect and it was generally regarded as going out on a high note. (Although the "Season 7 was worse than Season 1" crowd might disagree.) But I see your point. In what universe was the end of TNG a good thing. =)

When you get the perfect ending with All Good Things, I was fine with it. The show can't last forever, despite what the current writers want.

Indeed.
The ending was perfect. If there was no films, no follow up, it still would stand out as top notch.
Open ended is always my preferred ending.'All Good Things...' didn't need follow up.
The series ended but at the same time it didn't, Enterprise continues its mission.
Open ended is always my preferred ending.
The missions will continue and the Enterprise was still boldly going. To tie it back to the first episode and then to end with this reclusive man joining his crew at the poker table for the first time was perfect.
Best Last Line EVER.
Yeah, all this. One of my absolute favorite episodes. It truly shows what Trek can be when firing on all cylinders. Shannon Fill really impressed me - I wish she'd done more as an actor. Dorn also did a great job.Lower Decks (TNG)
A high point of the 7th season and TNG in general. In retrospect I'm glad that the season 4 finale of Star Trek: Lower Decks didn't mess with this.
