30th Anniversary - 1987 - 2017

It's hard to believe that in September 2017, it will have been 30 years ago that Star Trek The Next Generation first aired. THIRTY YEARS. It sure doesn't feel like it. Star Trek TOS looks far more aged, at least to me. But TNG has always felt "youthful".

But then you see Patrick Stewart today. And while he aged well, he does telegraph the time. Especially when he speaks!

Anyone else "feel" sort of bewildered that it's 30 years now? Or does it seem about right to you?

Great post! The past 3O years have aged TNG like a fine wine. What an amazing accomplishment for Gene Roddenberry, as well as the cornerstone for a very special and enjoyable franchise.

There are 30 year old series and movies out there that are silly today but STNG is still amazing!

It doesn't seem *that* long ago since we were celebrating the 25th anniversary of TOS. TOS???!!111

Now we're at the 30th anniversary of TNG? Where on earth does the time go?!!

With it's HD makeover, STNG is still an anchor for a cable tv network and a trending series in streaming. It's pretty amazing.

I can't believe it's been 30 years. I still remember everything about it's development and early airing.
