OK, let's try this one. As usual, hopefully the clues are sufficient, even if you're not personally familiar with the song.

I was a little worried about that. I've seen him on TV over the last little while as a "talking head" guest commenting about the US election, so I was hoping people might be more likely to recognize him right around now.
If it helps, if you get the first and third clues, you can probably infer the middle one without being able to identify the person.
That dude is David Frum, one of the pieces of shit from the Bush administration who helped con Americans into the Iraq war (he even claims credit for coming up with "Axis of Evil") and then used opposing Trump as a way to grift his way into the job of editor of The Atlantic. Sorry, didn't mean to get political.
Anyway, there are several songs from different bands and solo musicians all titled Rise from the Ashes, so that'd be my guess.

No worries. I never claimed he was a great person, I just wanted the name, and thought he would be the most recognizable option.

I didn't think he was somebody you liked. I guess I could rationalize it by saying I was trying to educate, but honestly, I was just triggered. People like Frum, who are responsible for so much death and destruction, yet not only face no consequences for it, but even get to pretend to be "the good guy standing up to evil", they just get under my skin.
Okay, know what, it's getting late, and the few ideas I have would take some time to prepare, so I'll go to bed and come back to those ideas after a good night's sleep. Either that, or anybody who feels like doing one can jump in in the meantime.
