25th anniversary vs judgement rights

I am trying to decide which of these are better in order to get it for dosbox and was wondering if any ones whos played these befoure could comment? I heard 25th anniversary has some bugs and has a clunky interface while judgement rights and is very similiar and even uses the same engine. So which game is better?

theres got to be someone whos played these games. Dispite them being really old they seem like great games are often listed as one of the top star trek games of all time. So does judgment rights improve apon 25th or is it worse then 25th?

I preferred 25th Anniversary, I cant remember encountering bugs and the interface was fine. It was some time ago when I last played it though.

I played 25th anniversary on my 286, it came on 7 floppy disks from memory. It was very good.

Never played Judgement Rights though.

"The Kobayashi Alternative" is a great game!

The 25th Anniversary game was the reason I purchased an NES.

I enjoyed both games. If I remember JR was in the teens in 3.5" disks. When I got 25th anniversary I think it was on 5 1/4". I don't remember any bugs. The first mission in JR is a sequel to one in 25th anniv so it might not make sense playing the second game first.
