24th Century Scout Ships

Eight or so years after the Dominion War? I could see the Centaur type still being used. It would be nearing the end of its life span along with other starships based on the Excelsior platform, as that would be almost a hundred years old by that point in Prodigy. If the similarly aged Mirandas were still in use just prior and during the War, it would make sense the Centaurs would be in used for a little while after the war.
Yeah, we should keep in mind that Starfleet lost an enormous number of ships in the war. Eight years later? It seem plausible that ships that are still somewhat useful would be retained, as a stop gap.

The problem is the representation. We are supposed to believe, based on the visuals, that the bulk of Starfleet's vessels were made up of Sovereigns, Akiras, Defiants and Centaurs. Setting aside the fact that this isn't remotely plausible, let's still focus on what we saw. Seeing as this is the 2380's, it's definitely believable that Sovereigns, Akiras and Defiant class starships would be operating (and possibly being mass produced to be the bulk of the 2380's Starfleet forces), but it's simply unbelievable that 1/4 of those forces are made up of the exact same type of 2330's-era ship. Sure, I can buy some older ships still being in service if they are useful and not extremely outdated. But a quarter of the entire Starfleet being made up solely of Centaurs?

Has anyone come across a small scout ship design from the mid 24th century? I'm thinking like a successor to the Archer-Class, small ship with a small crew, from just before TNG. There is the Raven-type, though it's not really fitting with what I have in mind.

Any suggestions or advice welcome.

If you don't mind a fan design, I came across one once that I found quite delightful.

It's in that largely untapped size range between shuttle (including heavy shuttles like a runabout (sorrynotsorry)) and larger interstellar spacecraft like cruisers, freighters, and starships, which typically bottom out just shy of 200 meters. However, unlike the somewhat wonky econobox Raven, this one actually has starship stylings.

Canonically, the Romulans got the Scout design that's kinda in-between, but for Federation ships all we got was the 90m Raven type and 120m Defiant, and the debatably-sized Oberth, but there's really no reason why there shouldn't be a ton of ship types between Raven and 180m Nova in size.
