Eh, maybe. She seems unstable now but her "sanity" may become more apparent as the "day" wears on and Jack (and we) see she's just a female version of him. Willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done and if she has to cut off the hands of pieces of shit then so what.
Seriously, Jack's done stuff just as bad over the years for just as noble reasons. If Jack IS ever to leave this show, Renee could very easily replace him based off that scene alone.
I only voted for the first two, average for both. It's the same old shit all over again. Explosion/car chase/gunfight/CTU bickering/Jack's Never-Ending Sacrifice (is he Cardassian or something?)/Rinse/Waterboard/Repeat.
It was briefly amusing to see that Fakeistan is run by Elvis and one of the Monkees. Jack's fire-axe maneuver was nifty. Katee Sackhoff's "is she a bitch? or is she very well dressed and actually quite nice?" performance was interesting. But otherwise, geezus. It's time this show finally just packed it in. There's nothing but empty sensationialism left.

Not to mention Jaime Bamber and Michael Hogan popping up on Dollhouse, and Hogan was also on Warehouse 13. Shows you how highly everyone involved with BSG is thought of as they seem to be easily finding work.

The guy who played Fisk was on Castle last week, which made him the default killer just because I recognized him.

I was thinking, since CTU has drones now, can't Starbuck just fly one over to her trailer park trash backstory and gun him down? Apparently it's really easy to hide evidence at CTU so she could cover her tracks and erase the recordings no problem.
Yea you'd think background checks at CTU would be a bit more involved at this point with all the spies and people who have snuck in over the years.

Yeah, after fifteen years of it you'd think their background check would be a bit more involved than reading the resume's cover sheet and saying "you seem legit."
And considering those drones and some of the other things we've see in 24 recently regarding "security" and counter-terrorism in 24's "future" it's future is almost dystopic. I think it's hightime for 24 to go post-apocalyptic American Civil War II Ray Bradburyian on things and have Jack really save us!
