The episode is good, but hour 2 isnt even over yet and we're already ticking off every point in the formula that got so damn tired.

-Traitor in the organization!
-Jack starts out in trouble, within 20 mins he's back on the case
-"OMG things got bad and we realize Jack knows his sh-t and ihs methods work!"

Aw, it wouldn't be 24 without that stuff.

I missed part of the episode- has Jack said "Dammit" or "We're running out of time" yet?

Geee.... Jack was right.... AGAIN! :p There are moles all over the place!!!
A little bit unrealistic how he called that it was a mole. Wouldn't it have been more likely that the guy killed an FBI agent and took his jacket?

I've given up on expecting them to change the formula. As long as characters are interesting and realistic (both the good and the bad guys), then things are more likely to be cool.

Rioting! Water contamination! Civil unrest! Dogs and cats, living together! Mass hysteria!

But after Jack Bauer was brought in to deal with the chaos, the people began to enjoy the little things again. Leaks in the FBI. More bad guys with each hour. Tension in the White House. Commercials with former President Palmer. Things were in... Good Hands.

That's All-State's stand.

;)

So far no one has commented on my theory about Bill Buchanan being the brains behind Tony's infiltration (and with Chloe along for comic relief). What do y'all think?

^ Thanks. I thought he said something about "republicans". That would make the current prez a democrat and Daniels a republican.

Political party means nothing on this show. David Palmer was a Democrat in a throwaway line all the way back in season one (though for Trekkers, NOTHING is ever throwaway; just look at the Star Trek XI forum). So that would make Keeler/Logan/Gardner Republicans and Wayne Palmer/Daniels Democrats.

This is actually still part of Habib Marwan's (Day 4) master plan. He planned out everything that's happened in Days 4 through 7 to the exact minute. He knew that kidnapping Heller as a diversion to get the nuclear power plant supercomputer as a diversion to shoot down Air Force One just to get the football so they could blow up LA with a missile would lead to Logan/Henderson versus the Russian and the fake Tony Almeida death and Jack getting kidnapped by China and having to come back and kill his brother and father so that CTU would get shut down and not-dead Tony would be operating in D.C.

All part of the plan.

It's certainly possible, but these stories get so convoluted that it's imposible for me to tell how possible that is. I like the idea, thought! :)

Oh, Lord. Family drama. Didn't we have enough of that in previous seasons?

That has been my biggest gripe with the recent seasons. Ancillary dramatic elements that only detracted from the effectiveness of the season.

Is that a response to me? Because I was being sarcastic and poking fun at 24's crutches. Though it's possible someone on the 24 staff read it and is taking down notes as we speak. :p

Yup, Jack's getting back to his old self. Less than two hours. Not bad.

QFT! :techman:

Grrrr, Tony versus Jack.

Finally, DAMMIT!

"What the hell happened to you?" Yeah, that's what I want to know! I mean, besides Michelle dying.

Yeah, like the former First Lady going nuts and hacking the disgraced President with a kitchen knife last season! :guffaw:
