2024 book releases

And any series that originated in books, I suppose, as with there being more ways one could come upon the franchise (book or TV or film), more interest would be piqued.

Wikipedia claims the first one was written by Tom Straw. They don't say anything or the rest.

That's odd, because the Tom Straw listed as a writer on IMDb never wrote or produced Castle. Although he was "thanked" in the acknowledgments of the first book.

The Castle novels never entirely worked for me as the in-universe novels they purported to be, since they were too obviously just thinly veiled Castle TV show tie-ins with the character names changed and the relationships slightly tweaked. I discussed it more on my blog back in 2011: https://christopherlbennett.wordpress.com/2011/05/26/review-the-richard-castle-novels/

Also found a listing for an SNW novel titled Asylum by Una McCormack due out in September. Though for some reason, the blurb they included there is just the one for The High Country.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised after the recent TP price increase, that the hardcovers are apparently going up to $39.

(And that's after the soon-to-be released Firewall had already had a price increase to $37...)

I guess that's why my local library system is purchasing fewer physical books for the shelves and instead going to eBooks; the cost to purchase multiple copies is too high. The Strange New World and Picard novels have all been been eBooks
