2021 books announced

Is the Grudge book are novel, or more like a life-guide aimed at an audience (breaking the fourth wall)?

I believe it's going to be a retelling of the events of season 3 of Discovery from her perspective.

Somewhere in a closet I've got an advance galley of that book, which I reviewed for Library Journal, but the book was cancelled, so the review never ran, but I got to keep the galley. I gave it a lukewarm review, as it wasn't great. It was written in the same format as The Making of Star Trek, with Roddenberry inserting interstitial bits, but the bulk of the book written by his collaborator, in this case Susan Sackett.

And only some Sackett/Roddenberry fragments made it into the replacement JM Dillard book.

or Purple Mugatos.

In MegoCorp Mugato disco threads.

Here are the upcoming books for this year. I know this list was already posted, but it left out the dates which are needed to know when the eBooks are being released. Alex's name has been corrected and one book left out as been added.

July 13: TNG: Shadows Have Offended, Cassandra Rose Clarke

September 28: Coda: Moments Asunder, Dayton Ward
October 12: Coda: The Ashes of Tomorrow, James Swallow
November 30: Coda: Oblivion's Gate, David Mack
December 21: DS9: Revenant, Alex White

September 7: The Autobiography of Mr. Spock

Just cross-referencing some titles and noticed that someone claims to have read this in October last year? Listing still credits David A Goodman as author. ;)
"Good summarizing the major sections about story but little slow for me...", Ulvis, GoodReads.

Penguin Random House says the hardcover is on pre-order for September 07, 2021.

Amazon also shows the eBook and hardcover due out on September 7.

Maybe it's an advanced copy. But if so, then it's one heck of a really poor review.

This book has been delayed multiple times, because Goodman is working on The Orville. It was going to be out in 2018, 2019 and 2020 -- but then Una's Janeway autobiography replaced it last year, and then Una got the gig to write the Spock book.

That review is FAAAAAAAKE! Goodman never wrote the book, because if he had, it would've been published under his name.

Also, Una only just delivered the Spock manuscript in the last couple of months. It hasn't even been delivered to CBS for review yet.

Meanwhile, it wouldn't be April if Kevin and I couldn't announce a new Trek project.

I've reported the the author being incorrect with The Autobiography of Mr. Spock as well as the bogus review. I hope they both get fixed.

Is the temporal apocalypse in Coda the litverse depiction of the Romulan supernova?

We won't know that until closer to the books' release, or after they come out. But I hope it isn't. After all, Picard established that the 2387 supernova was anticipated 5-6 years in advance, but there's been no hint of it coming in the novels as late as 2386. There's no physical mechanism by which it would've been detectable in advance in one timeline but not in another, so that implies that it doesn't happen at all in the Novelverse, or at least not until years later. And both of the Picard tie-in novels to date have vaguely hinted that the supernova might have been artificially induced, which means it wouldn't necessarily have happened in the Novelverse.
