2019 Releases

So I have been somewhat out of the loop these past few months, what is the current status of Treklit? Has the current novelverse gone away or does it still exist?

Still exists with another David Mack novel due at end of the year. More books will be published after that but we don’t know what they will be.

There are four more novels due this year: My own The Captain's Oath next month, John Jackson Miller's The Enterprise War in July, Greg Cox's The Antares Maelstrom in August, and David Mack's Collateral Damage in October.

We haven’t had an announcement in a while. Is there a con coming up where news is likely to be held for?

The next con which could have something is Shore Leave in July. Even then, it's more likely there won't be anything until the Vegas convention in August.

But there could easily be another announcement in the interim.

Cool, I’ll definitely be getting The Captain’s Oath. I tried looking on amazon for new releases but it didn’t work out to well so I figured I’d ask here.

Yeah, Amazon doesn't organize them very well.

Usually I'll go to Memory Alpha and type in "upcoming productions" in the search bar then click on the link when it comes up.

Below is the most current. It basically lists everything new coming out by month and then at the bottom are 'to be announced' items that don't have a date. I find it to be the most organized list of upcoming releases for Star Trek.

As an aside I did notice it does indeed look like a new William Shatner novel is coming out "Academy: Third Class" though there is no release date yet. It will be interesting if a follow up to "Collision Course" is finally in the works.

Yes that's true. And when looking for something specific, or author's works, Amazon works fine.

It's just when the less detail in your search on Amazon, the more muddled the search gets. I found when looking for something general like 'future Star Trek books' it's not very helpful.

That's where I turn to Memory Alpha. Even the official Star Trek website isn't the best for things like that. And usually Memory Alpha is pretty good about being up to date.

It also keeps me on track, esp. these days when there haven't been books every month. I have to check to make sure I didn't miss something.

I do have "The Captain's Oath" on pre-order from Amazon. When I bought "Available Light" I saw your novel was available at the time for $11 as well. I periodically check the other future releases as well to see if there are any sales (I know they will adjust the price if it goes on sale before it comes, but I noticed with at least one of the Discovery novels it didn't go on sale until a week or so after it was released so I try to wait it out a bit first).

If that was your search phrase, I'm not surprised. "Books" should be your selection in the menu to the left of the search box, to filter down the what to search; and then rather than including "future" in the search text (which is going to look for books with that as a keyword), you should sort the results by Publication Date.
