Third Class: Star Trek: Academy Hardcover – 2019/12/31
Not seeing this listed anywhere else. Are two of Trek's greatest writers back?
The Japanese site mentions it's in English.I'm wondering if this is a foreign edition of one of their existing novels.
Just as an FYI the series is called Dark Arts, not Magician.JD David Mack is rewriting one of his Magician books for Tor books before he can work on Collateral damage he mentions near the end of his trek.fm interview it's a great one to listen to. He gives you a alot of insight into the the Time to Heal book and how the storylines from that novel and a Time to kill will be tied together in the upcoming TNG trek books.
Have you read the first Dark Arts book, The Midnight Front? It's awesome and even though there is time jump, based on the excerpt in TMF, The Iron Codex seems to pick up quite a few threads from it.It was a great interview. Got me to not only pre-order Mack's Dark Arts Book Two: the Iron Codex...but copies of A Time To Kill/Heal as well...tho I know the 'A Time To' overall plotline well enough, I've yet to read those...time to rectify that oversight.
Amazon isn't a reliable source when it comes to this kind of thing, so I wouldn't get to excited until this appears somewhere else.https://www.amazon.co.jp/Third-Clas...418960&sr=1-34&keywords=Judith+Reeves-Stevens

When you say he's rewriting, do you just mean he's going to finish the third one, or is he actually going back and doing a new version of one of the other two?
I think that might be a friends-only post. I can't see it, at least.
Close. I'm rewriting the second half of book three, The Shadow Commission. It was my decision to do so, based on feedback from my agent. She pointed out some concerns, and I realized that to address them properly was not something that could be done with a sentence here or a scene there — it would require me to rethink the structure and narrative of the second half of the manuscript.David is rewritting book 2 of his Dark arts novel he mentions it in his interview on Literrary treks..His editor frim Tor he make changes to his novel. He mentions it's taking alot of his rewriting it right now.
