Knew I was going to forget a lot of Tor counterexamples. Sorry, Greg.
Ive been taking advantage of the downtime and going back to older books I never read before. I'm currently on the eugenics wars volume 1 by greg cox. I put this series off for a long time, because I just thought it would be boring. I finally started it, and I'm really enjoying it alot. I didnt think following Roberta Lincoln would be interesting and engaging, but I was proven wrong.
When there is news or a rumour or anything, it'll be posted in this forum, most likely in this very thread. It really is unnecessary to ask for periodic updates.
No, none at all.

Did I mention that Tor once published a WILLOW board game. Our one-and-only venture into game publishing, which was slightly before I started work there? And then there were the DEATH DEALER novels, based on the Frazetta paintings, and most of the original "V" novels as well.
Did I mention we did FREDDY KRUEGER kid's books? This was back when GOOSEBUMPS was the hottest thing in publishing and everyone wanted their own kid's horror series.
We done plenty of gaming tie-ins, too: HALO, etc. In fact, I just recently edited a line of Weird Western novels based on the DEADLANDS role-playing game.
I wouldn't worry too much about the comics at the moment. IIRC, it is still possible for something to be announced before the year's end. Besides, as Leto_II indicated, IDW likely just put their Kelvin material on hold due to a new movie being developed, and they don't have anyone from production coordinating with them on what they can or can't do like Orci with the first three movies.I just thought of another piece of evidence that whatever is going on is bigger than the books. We still haven't heard anything about any Trek comics outside of the TNG/Mirror Universe and the Disco minis stuff. For a while they had the two ongoing series (the Kelvin comics, and New Visions), and a miniseries all going at once, which meant that each month had at least two or three comics Trek comics coming out. But now both of those series are over, and we've only gotten hints about the future of the Kelvinerse series. Right now we do have the TNG/MU and Disco, but by August the Disco series will be over, and the only comic coming out is one TNG/MU issue.
