I agree, it will be a very sad day if he reinstates Pete Rose. The only way I want Pete Rose to be allowed into the Hall of Fame is after he dies. No reinstatement, just a something places in the Hall of Fame.
On a side note, Mets win and Washington loses and the Mets magic number is 1.

I was listening to Howie on my iPhone in the car, in the 9th inning. I had to pick up my wife at the airport, she was returning from DC. When Wright was up to bat, Howie said it would be nice if David hit a home run here to put an explanation point on clinching the division and David did, it was pretty funny.

Papelbon literally tried to strangle Harper and Matt Williams still sent him out there to close out a tie game.
The idea of a relief pitcher who just got traded to a team talking shit and literally putting his hands around the neck of a player who's about a hundred times more valuable to that team, and the manager effectively saying "eh, whatever" is mind-boggling.

Papelbon is totally in the wrong here, and acting like a jackass, but lets not act like he hasn't been one of the better relief pitchers/closers of the past decade. He isn't some nobody.

Williams is a man that knows he is done. I love how Pap's giving shit to Harper over not running out a routine popup but feels completely justified putting Manny Machado on first base via fastball to the ribs because he had the audacity to pimp a home run off of Scherzer. Baseball is a hilarious game sometimes.

His fastball splitter combo back then was unreal. I know there is no such thing as the rising fastball, but his was the closest thing I've ever seen. That thing was explosive.
