Arrieta still has two more arbitration years after this one, which is why I said they probably wouldn't offer a huge long-term contract, but I'm sure they want to buy out those arb years without going to arbitration hearings / settlements. (Imagine if they hadn't bought out Castro's arb years ... they'd probably be paying half what they are right now.)
And the clip of Schwarber tripping over first reminded me of the bit from the end of Moneyball (the book), when Jeremy Brown fell down on the baseline, assumed he was out, and had to be convinced by teammates and coaches to keep running, because he had just knocked a dinger without realizing it.
