Greg would have arguably made the story better for "Green Lantern" had he written the novelization. He tends to do that with his novelizations in my experience with them

Never too early to start looking ahead! What are you TrekBBS denizens interested in seeing next year?
1. X-Men: Days of Future Past
Bryan Singer, pretty much every X-Men character that has ever been conceived in one place? How can you go wrong?
Pompeii
Who knows, maybe they rewrote everything because it wasn't cool enough. "This is not your father's story of Pompeii!"Wait a minute I know how this one ends, it might come as a suprise but Vesuvius errupts.Pompeii
Not ending Pomepii with the erruption of Vesuvius would be like not ending Titanic with the ship sinking.

I loved the first movie and have since read and become a big fan of the trilogy. Mockingjay is my favorite of the three books, it's edgier than the first two and goes some amazing places with the story and character development. I think that the decision to split the book into two movies was the right one - the book may be of the same length as the other two, but so many things happen in it (some of it outside of Katniss' POV and off-page) that you couldn't do it justice with less than 4 hours of screentime. It's also the only one of the three books that can be naturally split, and I think there's a very obvious and natural split point. Danny Strong is a very good writer, and the cast, which is already amazing for Catching Fire, will be even stronger if the rumor of Julianne Moore being cast as Coin is true. And my favorite actress Jennifer Lawrence will certainly have a juicy role to sink her teeth in, with what Katniss goes through! Some goes for some of her co-stars.
Since I'm a fan of the show, this is a wish finally come true! The fact that Rob Thomas and pretty much the entire cast are coming back has gotten me excited. I just hope the movie is really good, not one of those continuations that tarnish the memory of the original thing.
Bryan Singer returning, older and younger versions of our favorite mutants interacting, Michael Fassbender, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence,a bunch of other great actors and almost every major character making an appearance... What's not to love? But, as a matter of fact, I am a bit worried thatm with so many characters, some of them will be shortchanged and just appear there for the sake of it.
I really liked "Rise", and Andy Serkis should have gotten tons of nominations for it if there was any justice in the world of film awards. For the lead role, of course: the first movie was incorrectly promoted as one starring James Franco in the lead, when in fact everyone who saw the movie knows that Cesar/Serkis was the protagonist and Spartacus-like hero.
Christopher Nolan. Sci-Fi, That's enough to get me interested.
Depending on what The Desolation of Smaug is like, this could move up or down. I liked the first movie well enough, it was entertaining, but it wasn't great or very substantial in its story. Still, it has so many of my favorite British TV and film actors, and it's interesting to see what Jackson is going to do with this story to stretch it into 3 parts.
I haven't read the book - and I've heard the entire range of opinions about it - but I love the dystopian genre, and this has a pretty good cast lead by Kate Winslet. The premise is something I thought a bit stupid and contrived when I first heard about it, but I've started to think it's an interesting criticism of the way our school systems and society try to pigeonhole us early in life in just one role and one profession.
I like Andrew Garfield as Peter/Spidey much better than Tobey Maguire, and I definitely prefer Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy as a love interest to Kirsten Dunst's Mary Jane. The casting of Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn has increased my interest.
I can't say I'm a huge fan of the first movie or Frank Miller comics, but I certainly appreciated it and thought it was wonderfully done, so I'd love to see a sequel. And its cast is full of amazing actors.
It will be interesting to see the great cinematographer Wally Pfister's debut as a director, but the theme and plot itself also seems quite interesting.
I'm looking forward to 12 Years a Slave, too, but it comes out in October 2013. Snowpiercer also comes out in 2013 - in fact, hasn't it already been released in Korea? Some others , Big Hero 6, Expendables 3 sans Willis, 12 years a slave , Antman, Dia de los Muertos, The Crow, Noah, Snowpiercer, Cuban Fury,

Completely disagree.^Cap 2 sounds very very fun. More so than the obvious Iron Mans or what Thor 2 seems to be like. Maybe it is a darkhorse and their best movie. Maybe it isn't.
Days of Future Past had a nice look and tone in the Wolverine preview.
Whatever they try, Spider-Man will never be proper good while Sony's in charge.
Isn't anyone, besides myself, interested in seeing the new Godzilla movie in 2014?
