2012 Renewal Axe List

Body of Proof got renewed, excellent. :techman:

Absolutely stunned by this news.

Harry's Law had a funny (to me at least) "4th wall" moment last night. They had Harry being awakened by one of her subordinates because a jury was coming in real early that morning. After she got off the phone and she started talking to herself (and the camera).

"I hate getting old. I miss the days when I was between the ages of 18-49." :guffaw:

It's pretty pathetic that you celebrate the end of the show (that nobody forces you to watch anyway) so gleefully when it means that roughly 150 people who aren't famous actors are now out of work.
Why should I care? No show can run forever and everyone working in Hollywood knows it, they chose a profession in an environment where they knew from the start that their jobs are temporary. A show ends, the people working on it move on, that's life.

But that's ok. A show you don't like is off the air. Score one for the good guys! :bolian:

I don't take any of the CSIs seriously anymore --and least of all CSI: Miami-- but for fuck's sake, find something better to get so excited about.
Only if you find something better to get offended by, how about the stars who decide not to renew their contracts which ends a still successful show?
Ted Danson is obviously the devil, Cheers ended because of him and not only did that lead to many people losing their jobs, he also ended the careers of Rhea Perlman, George Wendt and John Ratzenberger. What about Danson's spawn, Kyra Sedgwick? The Closer is ending and only angelic Mary McDonnell coming in and taking over saved a bunch of jobs.
What about Jerry Seinfeld? What an ass, refusing millions just to see people having to dismantle the sets before they leave the stage for the last time.

But I bet you're not angry at the stars, they signed a contract, fulfilled it and moved on, they had no obligations to continue just to save some jobs although they could have done that, instead you get pissy when some guy at the other end of the world says he's happy a POS show get's canceled.

Hasn't CSI Miami been on for like 8 years or so? To have it cancelled with no send off for the fans who did watch is very unfortunate.

10 years, so no closure is a HUGE slap in the face for any fans I would think.

With two other CSI shows on the air, maybe they could do a crossover or two to tie up any loose ends (or just throw the fans a bone)?

Too soon? :p

Well, one thing I am wondering is how will a CSI Show actually end. CSI has become kind of the new ER in that they circulate casts every few years or so, so there isn't really much of an ending to be had. For example, on the Vegas version they've gone from Peterson to Fishborne to Dansen and with I think Nick, the doctor, Sara (Who came back after originally leaving) and the main detective guy the only ones from the original cast, how would a show like CSI end.

I actually would have watched a series finale of CSI Miami just to see Emily Proctor one more time though.

^^ @ cardinal biggles:  Nice. As for CSI: Miami, I haven't watched that show in forever... since they've had so much of that fast and in your face cinematography as of late. I'd have to take some dramamine (sp?) just to be able to watch it.

Well, I have the whole run of Awake in TiVo just waiting for the word...and that word is...

*Delete*

Glad I didn't get hooked on it. I already broke my TiVo-ing one season rule for Alcatraz, and look where that got me?

:scream:

Might as well just forget any kind of scripted TV and make it all "Reality", singing, and dancing shows.

I guess I shouldn't complain too much. A few of my favorites got saved this year: Fringe, Raising Hope, Bob's Burgers.

You win some, you lose some.
