Hurd has been on the feds' radar for a while -- his car, driven by another person, was picked up back in July with $88,000 in cash and an assload of marijuana; the friend said the car was Hurd's. Hurd later called the police and said that the $88,000 was his, and could he please get it back (but the pot wasn't his, no sir).

I'm not joking.

The dude is not avoiding jail time.

The money Hurd was willing to spend was on top of what he was already purchasing elsewhere. Hurd told the informant that he currently distributed “four kilograms of cocaine per week in the Chicago area, but that the supplier could not supply him with enough quantity.”

Why is he disclosing this information?
He’s like a bad villain from a James Bond movie who tells everyone his secret plan. Come on dude, keep that information to yourself. Did he think that they guy wasn’t going to give him drugs if he didn’t know every exact detail?
And again, why is Hurd doing the talking in the first place. Where’s Wallace when you need him?
Another question: why is Hurd buying from this guy?
If I’m going to be buying mass quantities of drugs from someone, I’m going to need someone to vouch for him. I’m going to need to see receipts. I want proof. What kind of undercover agent is going to be able to provide that information? I’m not taking anyone’s word when it comes to $2 million worth of drugs per month.

In all seriousness, it doesn't look like he just started in July. I bet there are a lot of nervous players who's number is in Hurd's cell phone.

The Cowboys released him around the time the car incident came to light. Wonder how much they knew/ suspected about this?

I don't think there's much chance of him avoiding hard time.

I haven't seen the video yet, but apparently one of the Cowboy players got into it with a reporter who was asking him about Hurd yesterday.

I have no delusions about how this KC/Packers game is going to turn out but what a difference having a real QB (Orton) and Haley out of the mix makes for the offense.

ETA: Still having trouble getting the TD, but they are moving the ball pretty well.

I have no delusions about how this KC/Packers game is going to turn out but what a difference having a real QB (Orton) and Haley out of the mix makes for the offense.

ETA: Still having trouble getting the TD, but they are moving the ball pretty well.

You just better hope that the Chiefs stay in front.... if you need one final drive at the end of the game to win, Orton is inevitably going to be taking a trip to Sackville, Interception City, or develop a severe case of fumblitis.
