2011 NFL Season - A New Game

WTF? Switching to another game.

And in the meanwhile, I'm in the heart of Dane County, Wisconsin, which undoubtedly has far more interest in the Bears / Lions game, but instead we're stuck with the NO / ATL overtime clusterfuck.

Edit: Oh, fuck, no one told me it was motherfucking Thom Brennaman calling the game. Never mind! :barf:

Yeah, well, the Baltimore station showed the meaningless Redskins game instead of the critical Bengals/Steelers game this afternoon. When will these programming assholes realize that NO ONE in Baltimore cares about the Redskins? :klingon:

Also, how do the Ravens manage to make shitty teams look good and good teams look shitty? I DON'T UNDERSTAND.

As far I understand, everyone gets the "game of the week" unless you're in the home market of one of the other teams playing.

Well I got a hold of or emailed, CBS and CBS Sports whose (reps sounded very tired of this particular complaint), the NFL and Subway (since they sponsor the post game show.) First time I've been able to actually be home and watch a full game and they cut away from it!? Hell no!

Okay... if anybody on ESPN says that the Phillies are still Super Bowl contenders next week, they need to be fired and blacklisted from sports broadcasting.
The sad thing is the Phillies probably have a better chance of winning the Super Bowl this year than the Eagles do. :p

^Exactly how much of the game was left when they cut away?

They cut away during the second half of the 3rd quarter. Exactly how much time I couldn't tell you. I thought it would be a brief cutaway that is sometimes done. Still there was no reason to cut away from the game completely. I've changed channels when the Cowboys were being blow out by their opponents, I don't see why those bored with the game couldn't do the same.

Wow, that early? I apologize for giving you a hard time over this in that case! I can't say I've ever heard of a game being pulled that early.... I thought you were just complaining about it being switched in the back-half of the fourth. In this I completely agree.... that is crap and you guys got screwed.

Welllllll, thank you Broncos -- Raiders are now in sole possession of first place in the AFC West. :D

I use this site to tell me what games I have in any given week.

I don't live in any team's primary market, so I usually get whatever game has a featured local player or whichever is the best matchup. I also can get two Fox affiliates with my antenna, so sometimes I get lucky and get 4 day games in a weekend. I've never gotten lucky enough to have 5 games, although I guess its possible (if Fox has the doubleheader and both affiliates are showing different games for both timeslots).

The NFL rules state that a primary market cannot turn away from a game no matter how much of a blowout it is. Secondary markets can turn away in blowouts.
