2011 NFL Season - A New Game

According to NFL.com, he's been sacked 5 times, the same number as Aaron Rodgers, (who has the #1 overall QB rating, while Cassel is next to last) and only 2 more than Tom Brady. It puts him about the middle of the pack on sacks taken, and there are several teams that have double digit sacks.

Can we pas a new rule that defensive players can't even look at Brady the wrong way, or else suffer a 15 yarder? It would make my Sundays a lot less hectic.

What's the over/under on which week Ochostinko gets cut? I'm putting it at 4.5.

Oh thank you football gods, our long national nightmare is over. Not sure what the haircut means for the 2011 Pats, but I'll take it.

Yeah everytime I saw him I couldn't help think how ridiculous he looked (until I remember who he was married to.)

Tom Brady is the anti-Samson. By cutting his hair, he has quadrupled his power.

It was nice knowing you, Raiders. :(

Nobody thought the Bills would win last weekend either.

I can't believe I just wrote that about the Raiders. I feel...dirty.

FUCK YEAH!!!! Not only will it enhance his powers, but he won't look like some Euro soccer goob for once. In Bill we trust...

I still have a bigger mancrush for Wes Welker though.

How badass is he, when some dude (Nate Burleson) on the Lions says to the media he wants to be the Black Wes?

Because I'd love to see my favorite team win it all for the first time living in the Boston area?

Guilty I guess.

Huh?

Oh you mean for the first time for YOU are living in the Boston area. Because I was gonna say, it's not like they've gone 40+ bleeping years without a title like some other franchise I could name.

Eagles have never won a Super Bowl.

However, hometown fans should not be expected to root for some other team besides theirs. That doesn't make sense.

This made me think of an Eagles fan back in 1992 who razzed me for wearing a Broncos hat, saying they sucked because they had never won a Superbowl.

I move to the Boston area in mid-2008.

But to think that there are children 5 and 6 years old around New England and beyond that have never experienced the joy of a Pats superbowl title is devastating. (The ones in some 3rd world pit wearing 2007 SB XLII Champs shirts don't count.)

With all due respect... you realize how this sounds, right?

It sounds tragic!

You a Titans fan? I see East TN on your location, but was never sure who your team is.

My folks went to a lot of Jets games during college and shortly after graduation back in the Shea days. I'm glad the apple fell far from that tree in this case.

Just a shootout up and down the field and Darren McFadden is the man. What a day he had out there,
One of the most (if not the most) underrated backs in the league. He is having a great season. Just hope he can avoid serious injury. If there are any Colin Cowherd fans out there, he said on his radio show right after the Raiders drafted DMac, that because of his height, he would never be among the league's elite running backs. Doofus.

The Raiders will get a severe test tomorrow against the Pats. My biggest fear is that Brady will be on a mission after coughing up all those picks last week. If he does come out like a house on fire, the Raiders, if they are going to win, will likely have to do so on offense, always a dicey proposition when up against one of the best quarterbacks (maybe) in league history.

Anyway, Go Raiders!

At this point you really don't need to add "maybe" when including Brady among the best of all time.

I still think the Patriots are going to come into this game ticked off and take it out on the Raiders, but I also think the Raiders will be competitive for a while.
