2011 NFL Season - A New Game

We were joking about how long it would take for Jay Cutler to end up as roadkill but DAMN--6 sacks today including 3 plays in a row near the end. How come the front office are the only people who can't see this?

Where has this Titans defense been the last couple of years?

Hasselbeck continues his excellent play - amazing what a good O-Line can do - and Johnson served well as a distraction to allow Britt and Cook and Washington to do a lot of damage. Hopefully next week he'll finally have the rust shaken off though, and the Titans probably won't face many rush defense as good as the Ravens.

WOO HOO BILLS!!!!

In all seriousness, The Raiders have got to be the most undisciplined team in the NFL... 15 penalties last week, 10 this week... The Bills definitely were given the game more than actually won it. Defensively, with Williams and Dareus, we're stout in the middle, but we need edge rushers badly (Where has Merriman gone??). Our secondary is surprisingly suspect as well.

Oh well, a win is a win. I'm going to enjoy the hell out of being 2-0 until the Pats fucking steamroll us next week.

Just... ugh. The entire offensive line for the Bears needs to be taken into space and tossed out an airlock. Then they need to be rescued right when they are near death and tossed out again.

Cam Newton... on pace to throw for 64,000 yards and not win a game.

Woo Denver! First win of the Elway-Fox era! Saw a lot of things to smile about..... I hope McGahee continues to start rather than just be used as a short-yardage battering ram. I had forgotten what it felt like to have a Denver running back put up pretty numbers. Defense is looking better. They held up fairly well against the run. We were still having big-play issues again. If we can clamp down on those, we might be looking pretty good. Orton took his customary 4th quarter break, which was good. I wouldn't want him too tired or beaten up for the first 45 minutes of next week. Hurt a few more starters. If we don't get both Lloyd and Royal back for next week, I can see us activating Riley from the practice squad. Only having 3 active WR's on game day is not good, and I can't see them putting Tebow back in at WR again. The Tebow move is a completely useless gesture unless they actually throw it to him. Might as well just have another TE on the field to block.

I have a new solution for Denver's injury situation: I saw we pull all of our starters and start all of our backup players. As players get injured, we plug our starters back in. This way, the team should improve as the year goes on and we should have all our good players on the field by the end rather than just having them the first three weeks.

Also, I am shocked that Todd Haley isn't screaming about someone running the score up on him again. That seems to be his thing.

You have one too many zeroes in there.

The Niners managed to lose? :wtf: Gotta check out the recaps to see how that happened.

And wow, San Diego did not look good AT ALL against the Patriots. Par for the course for them, though.

The 49ers decided to stop playing pass defense.

I always enjoy seeing them lose, and now that Harbaugh is the coach, it is twice as sweet.

The Chiefs couldn't implode more if they were black hole.

Week 2 and I'm already wanting the Royals to start playing again... next season.

This pretty much sums up the Chiefs this season:

Ravens laid a big fat egg today. Way to round out my incredibly shitty week. Thanks, guys.

Sorry about your week :(

Ravens are an odd team. They win big in a game I had doubts they'd win and then they blow it to the Titans. Can't explain them.

I know I wouldn't think it's so funny if I were a Chiefs fan, but getting taken out by a mascot?

I think he hurt his knee when he stretched it out to try and reach the first down marker, not when he ran into the mascot.

No, not good.

Then again, redzone shitty defense, turnovers, giving your own quarterback a concussion all add up to an expected result.

Jets go 2-0. I'm happy.

The Jets game against the Jaguars was a joke, namely because Del Rio's an idiot, Mccown sucks and the Jaguars offense is anemic to say the least.

Why in god's name did they get rid of Garrard again without a suitable replacement (especially if Gabbert wasn't ready for prime time)?

I wonder if the Jags franchise is trying to force their way out of Jacksonville into a larger market? Maybe into that farce of a sports town better known as Los Angeles.

It's bad to lose a great player, but to lose him in such a funner manner is, well, funny. I say this as a Chiefs fan.
