Got it.

Looks like a pretty comprehensive list!

Re: 2009 sci-fi/fantasy films: what we have to look forward to

I'm probably most interested in WOLVERINE, STAR TREK, TERMINATOR, THE WOLF MAN, and THE BOX.

Re: 2009 sci-fi/fantasy films: what we have to look forward to

Off of that list, I'll be going for...

- Wolverine
- Star Trek
- Terminator: Salvation
- Drag Me To Hell
- Up
- Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
- Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
- 9
- Where the Wild Things Are
- The Fantastic Mr. Fox
- Sherlock Holmes

Of the options presented:

Will definately see:
Star Trek
Terminator: Salvation
Drag me to Hell
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
The Wolfman
Sherlock Holmes

Might see:
Race to Witch Mountain
Dragonball: Evolution
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
GI JOE: Rise of Cobra
H2
Avatar

The Surrogates seems interesting.

Other than that, obviously I'll see Star Trek, and probably also Terminator, Sherlock Holmes and G.I. Joe. Most everything else I definitely won't see, especially in theatres, with a few maybes thrown in there. Wolverine's a 50/50. If it's based at all on the comic Origins, I really don't care about it.

Edit: Oh, and Avatar will probably be cool, although the description "an old-fashioned jungle adventure with an environmental conscience [that] aspires to a mythic level of storytelling" makes my brain bleed. Yeah, I've already seen Fern Gully.

Out of all of them, STAR TREK. Will be the ''ONLY'' movie I see this year:vulcan: I don't like movie theaters and I like the people that go there ''LESS'' so! Now if your asking me which movies on that list I think will be a ''SUPRISE'' hit? Witch Mountain(that ''ROCK'' guy had a hit with that other kiddie movie so who knows?) Monsters V Aliens ( Heck I may even see it!) Night at the museum, Land of the lost, H2 is a no-brainer:rolleyes:, 2012, Avatar, Sherlock Holmes, And sadly,Dear lord!:wtf: Alvin and the chipmunks:eek: The Squeakuel? Good God! how much money did the first one make?

The films I'll be seeing will be:

-X-Men Origins Wolverine
-Star Trek
-Terminator Salvation
-Land of the Lost
-Transformers Revenge of the Fallen
-Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
-G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra
-9
-Avatar
-Sherlock Holmes

I'd be interested in seeing The Knowing because of the concept but am turned off because of Nic Cage. Not particularly a fan of his, he's done some good work but not lately.

Looking forward to Avatar. Cameron is responsible for three of my favourite sci-fi films (Aliens, Terminator 2, The Abyss) to date, fingers crossed for a fourth. :techman:

should be an interesting summer! I want to see Trek and Terminator and the kids will enjoy Toy Story.
