Plus, Jay and Silent Bob use a grappling hook. What else do you want?

I must be the only Kevin Smith fan who dislikes the Jay & Silent Bob characters.

The new animated movie looks like a steaming pile of shit. I drew better looking cartoons at school.

I don't dislike them, I do think there's a case that less is more and that they're funnier in small doses (although saying that JASBSB was hilarious)

I liked Jay & Silent Bob as a love letter to the View Askewniverse. Without all the other characters popping up it would sit alongside every other stoner straight-to-DVD comedy out there, for my money anyway.

I agree that Jay and Silent Bob are probably their funniest in "Mallrats", although they're both pretty awesome in "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" too especially with the Bluntman and Chronic sequence :)

I really love JSBSB, it's completely unreal but it's just so jam packed full of characters and callbacks and insane shit I can't help but love it.

Any film with Morris Day and the Time has to win points. Jungle Loooooooooooooove....

I just rewatched Jay and Silent Bob and haven't watched the other movies in a long time and was surprised just how much Jason Mewes did in that one.

After his demons Jason looks like a different guy these days. But if Kevin's "muse" can get him to squeeze out one more...

I was a clerk when the first one came out so that movie had special meaning for all of us when we discovered it.

It's amazing how well Mewes performed in JASB considering how many hard drugs he was hooked on during the production of the film. Kevin jokes about Jason being self-conscious to this day about the way he looked in the 2001 movie because his drug use at the time added some fluid weight to his face, and when he'd lean over or be filmed from a certain angle he says he looked awful.

It's definitely a world of difference between his performances in JASB and Clerks 2. The character is the same Jay, but there's a sobriety and focus to Jason's acting in the latter that shows just how far he had come during his battle to clean himself up.

Kevin's often remarked what a fine job Mewes did in "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" and compliments him several times in the audio commentary track. He really brought it, in many ways it's Jay that carries the film :)

How can anyone hate any motion picture that contains the following scene?

If you do, you're bunghooles. Nootch.

I wonder if Damon and Affleck will make cameo appearances. Affleck had one in Clerks II, but apparently his wife doesn't let him "hang out" with Smith anymore...

And I loved how Smith had Affleck's charecter do the "Affleck was the bomb in The Phantoms" line in JASBSB. He's said that to this day, he still gets fans who yell that at him.

I'm sure if Damon and Affleck will have time (which they probably won't given their upcoming projects) Smith will fit them in so far, but I doubt it.

Jason Mewes apparently has a role in Smith's "Hit Somebody" mini-series, and is great in a supporting role in "Todd and the Book of Evil".
