I know here in the US, the term geezer has become a reference for old men, even though we use the term "old geezer".

i refer to any female younger than me as 'girl' regardless of actual age.

any male younger than me tends to be either 'kid', 'lad' or 'guy'.

Since we are completely off topic, I'm curious: is using "lass" or "lad" impolite? Because I'm fond of Scottish words, but I don't want to use them improperly.
