1x06 Preview!

Burnham bleeds green, i thought she was 100% human? Maby sarek is more than just a foster parent...

Given the camera effect, that's part of what she's feeling/experiencing due to a Mind-Link with Sarek. IE: she's experiencing the pain of his injury on the ship in the Nebula as if she were Sarek <--- and that's what the shot and VFX are implying (IMO of course) ;) .

I'm beginning to think there were different design teams assigned to different groups, ships etc. Whoever handles the Klingons has a very specific aesthetic, that I don't share.

It is like the Federation production design and the Klingon production design were done by two completely different teams that had wildly different goals and approaches.

EDIT: Ninjaed.

Yep. That was my first thought ... but by now, I am desperately hoping this is not the explanation. I cling to my Discoverse Theory and rock myself to sleep at night. "Yes, there are true D7s out there! Yes, there are true D7s out there! Yes, there are true D7s out there!"

How the fuck can they get some things so incredibly right (hand props, Vulcan props and spaceship design), and others so completely wrong (everything klingon)?? This show has serious split personality syndrome.
I'm starting to wonder, not to pin blame on one person, but if the whole "De-Mooring" of the Klingons was a Bryan Fuller thing. Show is still in early days, they may have some plan behind all this. I like the show so far, just not entirely hip to the lethargic, slow speaking, oddly depicted Klingons.

Hey, again there is an urgent emergency and they absolutely need to use the spore drive. What is this, third episode in a row?

Wow, imagine that! We develop a new technology and immediately find applications for it that we couldn't previously have achieved with our old technology? Amazing. What will these crazy writers think of next?

Next, maybe they will have every single episode take place during a time where there are important events going on instead of just when the crew has a lot of boring downtime staring out the window.

[Edit: I apologize if this is a little over the top. I think I am a little tired of people slagging on every little thing as if this show is a disaster. Sure, there are things that could be improved, but it's no first season TNG, VOY, or ENT.]

...I bought an oscillating saw a few years back, and I literally found dozens of applications for it that I couldn't have done at all or nearly as easily with my existing cache of tools...

Come on now, that's a bit harsh. They also had lots of meetings in the conference room. So, it wasn't all looking out windows. :nyah:

Hmm, that reminds me. Where did Saru find those chairs for Lorca's ready room. Lorca doesn't have any chairs! No sitting on the Discovery! Standing conferences only!

I thought everyone was joking about the Disco tshirts. :wtf:

I want one, preferably with Tilly still wearing it and her hair in attack formation.

I will then proceed to confirm that red is indeed her true hair colour.

I wont mind if she swears either. ;)

Its a war so I have no problem with it, there will be emergencies all over the place.

If it was peacetime it would be a bit hard to swallow though.

The less said about the Vulcan mind communication across the light years the better.
