1st Time - Finished Season One

Noob Saibot

Ensign
Newbie
So when I first heard about Enterprise when it was announced I was excited to just get a new Star Trek series. When I found out that Scott Bakula, who played Dr. Sam Beckett in Quantum Leap was going to play the Captain I became a little more excited. However, for some unknown reason to myself I only saw one episode of Enterprise when it aired and couldn't even remember what episode it was.

Now in 2014 with nothing to do (not that having nothing to do or watch has anything to do with anything), I decided to watch Enterprise on Amazon Prime.

The one thing I like about watching Enterprise is not knowing what is going to happen and what epodes I do not like. For example, when I watch Voyager or Star Trek The Next Generation there are some episodes I skip simply because I have seen all the episodes and know which ones I like and don't like. As for DS9 and ST I have seen random episodes and will plan on watching them from beginning to end as well.

Overall, I'm enjoying what I have seen in season one with no episodes I would skip if and when I rematch it years down the road.

Currently on Season Two, Episode 12, The Catwalk.

If you've enjoyed Season 1, it only gets better. My wife and I are one episode shy of the end of Season 4 and have thoroughly loved going through it all again. Have fun.

Not to bad of a series. The only episodes I didn't care for was the Mirror Universe episodes. I would have liked to see how the crew of Enterprise would have faced their Mirror self instead of it being a separate story that just felt like filler.

So you finished it? Great! Both TOS and DS9 had people confront their mirror selves, so I guess the ENT writers thought it would be interesting to try something different, instead of the old "I can't believe you're just like me, but different!" plot.

I think instead of being part of the episode series it would have made more sense to have it as a special television movie. It just felt like filler, which was disappointing.

It has previously been suggested that the Mirror episodes should be viewed after the series.

I envy you noob saibot! And yes it gets considerably better as it goes on!

What a joy to watch new Trek :)
aye. i just finished enterprise and to date i've watched every episode of every series (not counting The Animated Series, is that even a thing?) all the movies (except the new one, i've heard people say it's even worse than the search for spock, i've been comtemplating whether or not to give it a chance, for the longest time i've been thinking ST: Enterprise was horrible, mainly because i've read a lot of criticism saying not to watch it, how it's a waste of time etc, although i'm some glad i did i really enjoyed watching it and not knowing what was about to happen next)

although the ending was very disappointing, i found the ds9, tng finale's to be superb, voyager, not so much. and i don't even think you could say TOS had a finale, although the great original episodes make up for it, TOS was amazing -- no freaking idea how it could have been cancelled. absolutely brilliant work

Not only is the Animated Series "a thing" but it's a thing that is referenced in official on screen canon :) The remastered TOS dvd's even include visuals of Vulcan taken straight from TAS (the Animated Series). So even though it isn't actually canon and even though it's often awkward and silly at times it still contributes to the Trek universe in a very real way.

Also, has the same actors for voice and many of the TOS writers, which is just all win :D
