11th Doctor Casting announcment tommorow

just think once we find out, we can start speculating about who his companion will be, and then we can all spend some time with our wives & girl friends.
Wives? Girlfriends?! ZR knows not of such things. :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw:

Just reading that Russell T once entertained the idea of Catherine Zeta Jones as the first female Doctor. Actually, I think that would be a great idea. [You're mad, both of you - someone] Yes. :bolian:

=HappyDayRiot;2463373I'm excited. This can only be a letdown :D
QFT.

And I wish people would stop using The Curse of the Fatal Death as an excuse for suggesting any fucker with an equity card would make a good regular, official Doctor.

 I need to make this my sig.

KevasTrader;2463372Everyone will have an opinion that they can post somewhere!!
Which no doubt they will comment on tonight on the annoucnement show: "The internet has been buzzing for weeks...." or some such. Yes, the internet has been buzzing for weeks, you idiots, that's what it's there for. I hate the way the media make fans sound like morons.

Amazing how these stories take on a life of their own. At the Press Launch for TND a reporter asked him hypothetically if there was ever a female Doctor who would he like to play the part, and (not surprisingly) he picked a Welsh actress for his answer.

And since it made a "better" story the hypothetical part of it got dropped from almost all reports of his remark.

^ I saw him mentioned on the news earlier. I doubt him because he has something of a similar "look" to Tennant.

David Tennant was on the news about a couple of hours ago and said he was very jealous of the, quote, "bloke" who was taking over.

I'm trying to imagine which would offend certain corners of fandom more- a black actor, or a 26-year-old...

Seriously, though, I don't see Moffat picking an unknown actor in his twenties. Someone's having a laugh or trying for a publicity boost.

Well if he's good then colour or age are imaterial as far as I'm concerned, I might not be initially happy with Moffat's judgement but we have to have faith that he knows what he's doing...whoever Who 11 is.

My once (semi)faithful USB TV dongle has given up the ghost it seems, so I'll be relying on the TrekBBS for my update. I assume one of you will be in here to post the name of the new actor and scream "FIRRRRRRRRRRST!" :p

well they is some time in between the announcement & Last of the Van Helsings, so yes I will make a post about who it is, give on my opinon on him, however if it was a surprise name I will probaly have to look him up first, so it seems like I know what im talking about.

Well, Tennant just said "He" a couple of times on that interview on the BBC News site, so we can safely rule out any female actors.

Realistically, I Hope Paterson Joesph.

Wackadoodacrazyland? David Hewlett, Please be David Hewlett :p
